Donald Trump: I've Said My Piece On Obama's Birth Certificate
TPM ^ | April 21, 2011 | Evan McMorris-Santoro

Posted on 04/21/2011 7:32:20 AM PDT by Smokeyblue

Could Donald Trump be following Karl Rove's advice and dropping his public birtherism once and for all? In an op-ed published in USA Today on Thursday morning, Trump writes that he's ready to stop all the birther chatter.

"I have spoken my piece on this issue," Trump wrote, reminding readers that "many people have the same doubts as I have."

Trump says he's ready to shift the conversation about his maybe-candidacy to something more substantive.

"My concern lies with people like the single mom who recently wrote to me that she now works a third job to pay for the gas to get to the other two," Trump writes.

Trump told CNN that “at a certain point in time I’ll be revealing some interesting things” about Obama’s birth”

Trump to credibility: “Goodbye”

I don't think this shoots his credibility at all.

He's done just about all he can to further the issue, and now he's going to continue trashing the Marxist's track record and how bad it has been for America.

Let's see how Corsi's book is, and how well it sells. I'm thinking he's going to be thanking Trump for giving him one heck of a pay day......

I'm hoping Trump continues to score points against the Bambi narrative, bringing him down a notch or two is very important right now.

The media is really the core of the whole issue. Their astoundingly incurious attitude about all things Obama have been disastrous.

The origins of Obama are only a tiny fraction of what they’ve chosen to ignore. Obama himself is only a tiny fraction of the dire situation we face.

If someone can make a billionaire dance, they can make him stop. This was all a set up for “Ha ha, what an idiot Trump was for doubting Obama was a US citizen!” come November 2012.

No you haven’t, Donald. You said you had explosive info. And even if you don’t have it, keep questioning his past. There is so much more circumstantial evidence out there that your mouth and fame could start explaining to Americans.

Talk about him traveling as an Indonesian. Talk about him applying to occidental and living in the foreign students dorm - did he apply as an american or an Indonesian? Talk about the Saudi money that paid for him to get his hahvahd law degree, and even get into the school with his mediocre grades. Talk about the evidence Hawaii officials have broken laws to protect him, and the passport office loosening the security protocols for those three break ins before the election where Obama’s passport info was discovered or altered, and someone ended up dead. Talk about the three gay men at trinity that were gunned down after the gay choir director talked about his having “been with” Obama.

Keep talking about his mysterious past. That is what we like about you.

Trump is just setting the table for Jerome Corsi's new book which is #1 at Amazon right now.

I'm sure they have shared information from their investigations.

Can't wait to see & hear Mr. Corsi on his media book tour.

Barry's Pom-Pom Media will be in full defense mode and attack Mr. Corsi as racist and nutjob.

TMZ is not characterizing the CNN Trump conversation accurately with Trump this morning. Trump said you guys keep asking me about it. It was the first question out of CNN’s mouth. If they didn’t ask he wouldn’t have said anything to CNN.

CNN and the media can’t help themselves. They will always bring it up and Trump will talk some more about it. LoL.

Here’s the thing. Trump is self-made, so he’s nobody’s fool. The media is wary of going after him too hard with libel or slander because he has the means and the intention to legally take action. He’s been riding this Birth Certificate stuff loudly and unrelentingly since he decided to weigh in on it publicly, so he’s got a lot to lose if nothing comes of all this - his TV show for sure; and any credibility on anything in the future. I think that’s what’s alarming the media who love Obama. In the back of their minds their wondering why the public is still glommed onto the stuff Trump keeps saying. Trump’s promised investigator’s possess revelations of discovery that will amaze and stun us. OK. If he doesn’t deliver on that, he’s the one who loses big. His persistence - because of his iconic celebrity status - has The Left uneasy, to say the least.

Trump also very likely knew the Corsi book was on the way. When you’re as rich and famous as Trump you’re “in the know” about what’s on the verge of coming out by simply asking your agent or lawyer to make a call, or even relay what’s been given to him. He knew about the Corsi book long before any of us. There are probably other things he knows that we don’t. Bottom line is: if Trump is just doing all of this as a PR stunt he stands to lose a lot. I think the media knows that, like it or not. The MSM are nervous about what kind of ammunition he’s got. They’re not willing to believe Trump is gonna self-destruct over an issue like this. The Lamestream’s are starting to worry he’s got something. And if he does - the Lamestream’s know how bad this will make THEM look too. Sounds like the stakes are high all around.

The argument is over, he released his BC and here it is. You can see it says Hawaii which proves he was born there. Notice the seal. Case closed.

If you read Trumps opening statement in USA Today, it hardly looks like he is retreating:

I have made my point of view well-known, including the continued request for President Obama to be transparent with the American people and provide his birth certificate for forensic review. Only Obama is in a position to put to rest this long overdue and controversial issue. If there is nothing to hide, come clean.

Trump: Stop asking me birther questions!

http://www.seattlepi.com/default/article/Trump-Stop-asking-me-birther-questions-1346855.php

Repeatedly pressing the issue of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate finally reached a breaking point for Donald Trump Thursday morning, when he snapped at a TV interviewer to stop asking questions about it and focus instead on his stances on OPEC and job creation.

“You have to stop asking me about a birth certificate,” Trump said on CNN, after weeks in which his play to the widely discredited “birther” movement has allowed him to dominate media coverage of the presidential race. “You’ve got to stop asking the questions.

“The problem is every time I go on a show - like as an example, this morning - the first question you asked me is about the birth certificate,” said Trump, who has said on numerous occasions that he’s “proud” to embrace the issue. “I think my strength is jobs, the economy and protecting our nation from OPEC, China and the other countries that are ripping us off.”

I read somewhere that Trump is in contact with Corsi. It was speculated that the investigators Corsi used ARE the investigators that Trump was talking about. I wasn’t quite sure what to think but I can’t wait to read that book!!!!!
