2 more states confront Obama eligibility puzzle

Two more states are taking up proposals to require candidates for president to in some way document their eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, which is protected by constitutional demands that its resident be a "natural born Citizen."

Pennsylvania and Louisiana are launching debate over the issue that already has been in front of lawmakers in 13 other states, and has left one bill awaiting only the signature from the governor of Arizona, and another proposal more than halfway through the Oklahoma Legislature.

State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe of the 12th legislative district in Pennsylvania said it's just a matter of the law – and who must follow it.

"This legislation is intended to send the message that even those candidates who are running for our nation's highest office are not above the law," he said in his announcement about the plan. "Final passage of this legislation will provide additional levels of both trust and verification that anyone seeking elected office in Pennsylvania is just as much an American citizen as the voters supporting their candidacy.

"Requiring all candidates for the offices of president and vice president to submit valid proof of natural born citizenship documentation in exchange for statewide ballot access is a fundamental and long-overdue check and balance that must be implemented to further ensure that the Oval Office is never occupied by anyone other than a natural born American citizen," he said.

Maybe a multi-millionaire with a very large check or a group of people that put forth a huge donation with the same stipulations will garner enough press interest to at least ask the idiot in the White House why he would withold such a minute detail of his life when the poor sick children at Kapiolani Hospital need the upgrades that these donations could buy,

I made a similar suggestion regarding his records themselves ( sent it on to his legal council and to Farah) :

Instead of going around and trying to dig up info, all Mr. Trump has to do is announce that he will make a substantial donation to Obamas favorite charity ( or better yet, some politically active group like AIDS research,or feed the starving children in Africa ) if Obama signs a waiver for release of his school records and birth records. Lets see how the media would handle it if Obama refuses ( and if it is for AIDS research, how the AIDS activists would treat it ). This is something from which Obama could not hide. If he signs the waiver ( which is unlikely ), then fine. However, if he refuses or just ignores the challenge., imagine the image of Obama having to explain why he can't take 30 seconds out of his golf game to sign something that would release info to the public - (info that he supposedly has already released ( talking about the COLB ) - and by not doing so, he is letting children in Africa starve to death. Not only will this raise questions in peoples minds that he is hiding something, but is a perfect PR ploy that could be used. "Mr. Transparency" is letting children starve by not honoring his campaign pledge of being the most transparent administration in history.

I got my check back with a short note that the hospital did not have any records that would prove Obama was born there.

great job TW! I suggest you contact and send redacted copies of your letter, the check, and their reply, to the Donald, Orly, Mario, Bachmann, Palin, and maybe post a jpg online for all of us too?

It might also be good to send copies to the governors of every state that is contemplating creating eligibility law to get on the ballot.

there is a resemblance over there in kenya...have always concentrated on natural born citizenship...but..these past weeks..give me doubt obama was acually born in the united states. There are several reasons to list but..the bottle of merlot hinders me.

Hey Fred, I understand you say the lighter Obama boy on the left is David or Mark?, but he SURE DOES look like Zero. Also, when Zero went to Kenya EVERYONE there exclaimed that ZERO looked exactly like the late David Obama, Maybe Zero is a FULL brother of the lighter boy? Maybe Mark too? I see this works well for some typed fonts (note the animation), and it also works for cursive signatures...


I personally think zero is to stupid and used too many drugs to have graduated from law school AND pass the bar, so my bet is the forged document would be Roman's law diploma or Roman's certification for passing the bar.

I have a friend who ran for the school board. He was approached to run for county office. He liked the idea and agreed. The Republican party supervisors informed him that he could not run as their candidate. They reviewed his personal assets and bank records and told him he had to be worth at least $2,000,000.

He has five kids and gets by on $35,000 per year, drives used klunkers, and paid cash for his rural dump of a house.

He got a real dose of what local politics is all about.

Greta had her on by phone and she said she didn’t like that one person, the sos, was the sole decider. It sounded a little weak to me in even her tone of voice. She’s not a person that speaks with what I would call confidence many times anyway but she seemed to be floundering.

Personally, I thought that by accepting birth records etc. the bill was weak anyway and may have been a road to weakening the requirement so I’m not entirely disappointed. The whole elected bunch on both sides is petrified of something and we need to find out what.
