Did everyone seen running make it out? It looks like a few were caught at the end of the video.
Horrible!
Terrifying to watch people fleeing, one looked like he/she was carrying a bag which probably contained their most important possessions. How sad for those involved.
Thanks, gaijin. Horrible.
just damn
Nature at its worst.....
Gaijin, thank you for the translations, but I wondered if the translation where someone said “It’s lies...it’s all lies” might have been saying something like “This can’t be true”
God. What a tragedy. What a tragedy. I pray for them all.
I can’t watch any more of these. It’s gotten to the point where I refuse to turn on the television. Each day there is a new tape.
I’m just over my limit on this.
Man! Those kids will have nightmares the rest of their lives by what they saw!
Oh God!
There are no words.
That’s amazing, gaijin. Thanks for sharing it with us.
How awful.
Posted just a couple hours ago and also posted several times over a few weeks ago...
Come on people, search is your friend...
=8-)
Here is another raw video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnfkBJbRYSg&feature=related
Oh my gosh, that is ghastly. At first the kids were in wonder at the spectacle, and when they then saw their whole town flooding and the houses washing away, their cries and screams were just heartbreaking to me. I was imagining my teenager up on that hill seeing his world washing away... People dying...
Did you see near the beginning there were cars driving normally under the bridge INTO the town, apparently completely unaware of what was happening. No cars made it out. Too sad to watch, G-d bless all the people who were lost.
Here’s an even more dramatic tsunami video.

Talk about cutting it close!
Chilling.
It makes me weep but it also makes me humbled to see brave Japanese running down to save their fellow countrymen, at great risk to their lives.
