Last month the administration wanted to give him military aid. I guess he’s really not so bad afterall, right?
PARIS - al-Qaeda’s offshoot in North Africa has snatched surface-to-air missiles from an arsenal in Libya during the civil strife there, Chad’s president said in an interview to be published March 28.

Anyone who thinks Libya is our problem is an idiot.
Answer one question before we discuss the subject:
Who are they?
What if Qaddafi’s enemies turn out to be our enemies also?
Some fought against our forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. Now they are fighting Qadaffi. It’s anyone’s guess who they’ll have a problem with next...maybe Israel. Seems like they’re just looking for trouble all the time. Why bother with this sort?
We got the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, do you think Libya is going to be different?
The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. He is only the enemy of my enemy. We tend to forget that, Stalin being a prime example of the enemy of my enemy being also my enemy.
Aside from Israel, America has no friends in the Middle East.
We should support the rebels just enough to make it an even fight, then let them kill each other off for as long a time as possible.
Or option number 3: Let the Libyans kill each other all they like. No skin off our noses. But neocons just have to butt into every battle, no matter how many times that approach fails.
It doesn't matter who is running Libya, either side hates our guts, and as we're seeing in Iraq, Afghanistan, and every other muslim country in which we've sent our own troops to fight and die, no amount of intervention will ever change that.
Sure, he did bad things in the past -- but so did Japan. Hirohito led Japan in WWII, and he led that nation right up until 1989. The past is the past.
But now we have invovled ourselves in Libya, for no good reason. If Gadaffi survives, he will hate us and once again work against us. If "the rebels" win, and if they turn out to be al Qaeda, then we have a problem.
There was no problem here for the US two months ago. Now, there is no good outcome. Nice going Obama!
I see no reason to take sides. Both sides are against America. If we need to protect the innocent from a holocaust, which I agree is a good intention, why haven’t we intervened in Sudan and a thousand other places? In fact, after Egypt’s genocidal policies and outright murders of Christians, why haven’t we invaded Egypt? We are still paying them billions in U.S. aid, as with much of the rest of the Middle East, which returns the favor with undying ingratitude.
That is not the damn question, the question, do we let a halfass president start an illegal war, one in which we have no national interest. Moslum can kill each other all day long and all year long, I don’t give a damn. Hell give weapons to both sides, but killing people for oil for France is wrong.
What a damn mess.
Nope. Just because it's an old saying doesn't make it true. Sometimes both sides are our enemy and we should get out of the way and let them kill one another. This is one of those cases.
The “mad dog” is remarkably tractable when you swat him on the nose.
The rebels are Al Qaeda backed, at least in part. And you can bet that, if the “rebels” win, Al Qaeda’s faction will end up on top.
A smart administration would condemn Daffy, while covertly supplying him with cluster bombs.
Oh, and the Enemy of my Enemy is my Enemy’s Enemy - nothing more, nothing less.
