I still think he was talked into it by an ex-President who wanted to see him make a fool of himself.

My take is that there are a LOT of American Companies which are being hurt by the embargo...and this "attack" is just a cover....Obama, the $3 bully.

Add his Brazil "trade" escapade..

The guy is strangling the USA!!

Zerbama thinks of the nations of the world as his pawns on a chess board, 400 or so squares wide. Every move can only go in one direction, that of towards either diminishing the US or raising Islam. He’s familiar enough with chess to know when he can advance a pawn two squares instead of one, or use en-passant, if it furthers his goals. While he doesn’t think a move advances his goals, he doesn’t bother with that pawn (like Libya, first week or two, until Soros-et-al put him right).

He is getting what he wants: American foreign policy decided by UN resolutions; military intrusions motivated by Responsibility to Protect (R2P), invented by Cass Sunstein and possibly others, activated by his wife Samantha Powers, an advisor to Obama; operational authority shifted to France, or someone, anyone. This policy base made it easy for Obummer to abandon his demand that Qadaffi begone.
He is determined that America be dethroned from a position of power and respect, and saddling us with an insurmountable monetary debt is a necessary element of that debasement. If indebtedness can drive a major diminution of American military capabilities, while the war fighhting military culture is debassed by kowtowing to radicaal feminism and homosexuality, all the better from the standpoint of the Fundamental Transformer.
Meanwhile, deep thinkers in the media and the chattering classes generally, Bill O’Reilly prominent among them, profess to be puzzled by the blatant anti-American-ness of our C-in-C, unwilling (or afraid) to take him at his words and acknowledge what he is.

I think as this unravels we will see impeachment proceedings.

It appears that Libya is going to end terribly for the U.S. no matter what the outcome. Not to mention the rest of the mideast, Yemen, etc., is all teetering. Would this president would support the saudi arabian royal family over rebels ? If not, that could be an energy disaster as the U.S. and the western world could have a dire energy emergency. The only justification he could use to support the saudis is that they have been a good ally, where qdaffy has been an avowed enemy.

I think there is a limit as to how much damage a president can do to the nation before enough Senators realize that there has to be a change. No one wants the turmoil of impeachment and we know the president’s views and he’s got his behemoth healthcare passed, but he needs to back off from crossing a line of directly supporting our enemies.

Also, the “humanitarian” casus belli undoubtedly could be proven a lie through the content of diplomatic cables and briefings given to the president. I’d like to see a Senate hearing on all of our involvement in Libya aimed at determining what the executive branch is doing diplomatically. Or else funding needs to be completely cut off when the “temporary” “war powers” time period runs out. That should enable a Senate hearing to get cooperation.
