Palin: Gaddafi must go
The Hill ^ | 03/24/2011 | Staff

On Fox Wednesday night, Sarah Palin said U.S. intervention in Libya will be a failure if Muammar Gaddafi remains in power.

"America will have failed if we turn over command-and-control of this mission, and the mission of ousting Gaddafi is not fulfilled.

It will be failure."

Obama has not said he would commit troops. He has said the opposite.

The issue keeps getting skirted.

What exactly are we going to win?

Camp Lejeune Marines to Libya to Strike at Qadhafi Forces

A press release from the 26th MEU reads, in part:

"Protecting the innocent and conducting combined operations are what we are designed to do, our forces are doing both as part of the U.S commitment to protect Libyan citizens."

I'm not making a comment here; rather, I'm simply relaying a piece of information. I heard about this on the radio today and found this press release that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit release regarding their mission in Libya.

Are you advocating that Palin take no position or multiple positions....?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Absolutely. If you don't have all or at least most of the facts then keep your mouth shut....that's just common sense.

Is Palin privy to all the intel that Obama and the Joint Chiefs have?

If she does not then she's a damn fool for spouting a 'palin policy'.

None of those tyrants you listed faced the resistance on the scale of what's happened in Libya, Yemen, and Egypt. C'mon, bouncers at a bar could have put down insurrections from those countries you stated.

I'm reminded of the dog froths at the mouth as he chases down the street hoping to catch the elusive car

The only one that's frothing is you. You're the one that's all over this thread, trying to create a narrative that doesn't exist. For the record, I'm against ANY involvement in Libya, but all Palin did was call for a no-fly zone that would have gave the rebels a fighting chance to overthrow Gaddafi. Which meant that the rebels would have fought for their own freedom instead of risking American lives. All she's pointing out is how ineffective Obama is rather than arguing the points of the policy itself (which stems directly from Obama's ineffectiveness).

Now I'm going to watch the Badgers kick some ass.

Mrs. Palin took a trip to India with her husband and gave a speech. She’s now a foreign policy expert.

Thank you. Then we are winning absolutely nothing, but the cost will be great.

What a bogus mission. Administering aid to Al Qaeda doesn’t sit well with me at all.

“If you don’t have all or at least most of the facts then keep your mouth shut’

This applies first and foremost to all rino-progressives who are unaware of the most important fact: that constitutional conservatism is the only way to save our country.

As for Palin, she gets it. In this way, Palin’s mind crushes that of any and all ivy league or beltway elitists whose only true success is their badge of intellectualized foolishness.

Oppose Palin and you oppose constitutional conservatism.

Many oppose it unknowlingly. Others do so in the closeted sense, because only the closet can hide the stench and garbage of their ideology.

Utter nonsense. I oppose palin on grounds of experience and ability. I think that she falls short in both, as do many folks I know.

Clearly, their opinions are worth less than a tiny pile of dust beneath the month-old corpse of a housefly.

Why, because they disagree with yours? That's the problem (one of them) with those of you suffering from hyper-palinism. You spend your energies trying to come up with something that you think is cute or clever but you never address the fact that there are lots of reasons that people who are every bit as smart (and based on your posts probably a lot smarter) than you have for believing that palin is just not equipped to handle the toughest job on the planet.

But that's ok...as long as you think you're cute.

It’s not hard to choose constitutional conservatism over its enemy.

Palin happens to choose it. She rejects political games, and she won’t give up her fight against tyranny and corruption, even when faced by all of the armies of the enemies of liberty.

Anyone who does this will have the support of we the people.

Keep trying to fool us into believing Tina Fey is the real Sarah Palin. Your time is growing short.

How, exactly do I do that...by posting palin's own words?

Tell you what; show a post of mine where I put Fey's words into palin's mouth and I'll quit here for good.

You know you can't because I never did. But don't let that stop you from trying.

Tina Fey is the ditsy one. If you look again, you’ll see she doesn’t even look like Sarah Palin that much.

Sarah Palin is the one who has taken on Obama at every turn. She’s the one who fights for liberty and doesn’t give up.

Tina Fey was an actress on SNL—it was only a skit.

Sarah Palin is the one who has the answers to energy policy, the tax problem, foreign policy, and domestic spending. She’s the one leading.

I think that you have a bit of a mental disconnect going on. I never mentioned Fey in relationship to anything except as a response to you. Really, get a grip.

You don’t have to mention Tina Fey.

When you speak of Sarah Palin, you say nothing relevant to Palin herself. Instead you describe the character portrayed by Tina Fey.

Sarah Palin is very, very different from Tina Fey. Your job is to keep trying to convince people Tina Fey is Palin.

Hey, kid, I never brought Tina Fey into the conversation or made a comparision to SP...that's all on you.

If my using Palin's own words and record reminds you of Tina Fey then I'd suggest you might want to think about why.

Also....do not send me any freep-mail messages. I do not want to be your secret friend and I am certainly not going to give you any personal info like my e-mail address.

Palin overslid the base on this one. Neither side likes the USA and It’s citizens including Palin. To me this fighting is just a repeat of centuries old disputes and fighting. Muslems by whatever ethnic background have been at it for a long time going back to biblical times. The USA gets no benefits from being involved in this internecine conflict unless for those that want USA power to be diluted/eliminated.The USA needs to stop throwing It’s protective resources around the world.

I'm reminded about the outcome from the events in Afghanistan some 20-years earlier. While it's true our participation and aid to the Mujaheddin was really a proxy war with the Soviets, it still doesn't change the fact that the aid and support didn't pay any dividends for the US down the road. In fact, quite the opposite. The Jihadists were really quite ungrateful after the Soviets left.

We shouldn't delude ourselves and think that if we do the "right thing" in Libya, it will buy us any goodwill with the Islamicists in the future - I don't care what they say now. Their "book" demands that they destroy us. They aren't going to be swayed.
