Mitt Romney the flip-flopping flipper
Politicons- Politically Conservative ^ | March 24th | Henry D'Andrea

I personally believe and it has shown in polls, that Mitt Romney is a frontrunner in the GOP race, alongside Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee. However, I do not think he could win the Nomination with either Palin or Huckabee running against him. I also don’t think he could beat Obama in 2012. Before all the Romney supports jump on me, I wanted to share with you all the flipping flopping Romney has done in the past 20 years. It’s very clear and I am about to present you with strong evidence, that Mitt Romney is a flop flopper. It so almost as if he will say anything to get support and contributions. Yes he has a great business background and would certainly be better than Obama, but I do not want to Nominate or even elect a flip flopper. Here are just a few examples......

I would like to take a good look at Pawlenty. He’s a long shot, but he has a pretty good track record.

Given any viable real GOP candidate, Romney could not get the nomination.

However, the bunch of RINO idiots now running the GOP would probably go out of their misguided way, to ensure that Romney is presented in the best light possible.

Personally, I would vote for a well-trained German Shepherd dog before I'd vote for Romney.

In fact, I'd definitely vote for Newt Gingrich before I'd vote for Romney.

I don't think I'm alone.

I live in Massachusetts and I would never, ever vote for Romney.

I guess if I had to vote for him against Obama, I would have to take the lesser of two evils - but I hope I don’t have to make that choice!

The GOP plan is to run as many conservative candidates as possible, split the votes between them and have Romney come out on top by capturing the RINO voters. What we need is one specific conservative to rally around and cast all our votes for. It’s the only way Romney can be prevented from taking the nomination.

“I wanted to share with you all the flipping flopping Romney has done in the past 20 years.”

This is an accusation which doesn’t mean much in the long run. “Flip-flopper” has been a label slapped on probably every person who’s ever run for president, by someone, because it’s an easy route to denouncing someone without getting into complicated facts.

We’re using the ‘flip-flopper’ line on Biden and Obama, and yet in the same article the writer claims that that line’s going to work on Romney.

Romney is looking more and more like the media’s choice, and if that’s to be headed off, someone’s gonna have to step up and stop pussy-footing around, declare their candidacy, and start pulling the headlines away from this guy.

People can drone on and on about how great this person’s gonna be, and how great a president that one’s gonna be, but it’s all just hot air, because Romney’s the one who’s already being put in position by the MSM. They’re getting their arguments ready so, once he is the nominee, they can kneecap him the way they did McCain, who was probably convinced he could win solely because of the love of Chrissy Matthews and company. Then, when he got the nomination, after twisting and turning to get it, we all know what happened.

Call Romney all the names you want, but most of the arguments I’m reading are going to be of limited interest to anyone other than us political wonks. They’re going to look at him, and as we all know, as we talk about every day, as we see in the void in the Oval Office, people are going to support him for all the wrong reasons.

Rev. Wright was gonna derail Obama. Lack of experience was going to make him unacceptable, just as it was going to do the same for Clinton. Shouting ‘he’s a flip-flopper!’ isn’t going to matter when the MSM is showing all those nice pictures of Romney smiling and waving and making his careful little statements. The MSM doesn’t give a damn about his position on abortion (pick one), and his healthcare position is going to effectively take Obamacare off the table as an issue.

Then what have we got? Someone who’s going to say he has a business background and that’s what we need in this time.

And then you will see the parade of union thugs he ‘put out of work’ when he bought one of his companies. You’ll see the accusations of racism, and the ‘controversial’ religion he belongs to that ‘has some problems in the recent past with people of color’—and it’s kinda, you know, weird. And Obamy will make his speeches about “IS this the kind of America you want? Where blacks have to sit in the back of the bus?”

Huckaby hasn’t got a chance in hell of being elected, nor does Gingrich. Palin is being attacked constantly, and yes, it’s completely unfair—the problem is, that’s been the MSM’s ‘storyline’ for her for so long that that IS the storyline. You will never, ever see the MSM start to treat her fairly. You can say that doesn’t matter, but I’ve yet to see any evidence that she is gaining ground outside the base. You can say “I don’t care” all you like, but pretend you’re not a Palin fan for a few hours and look at the material clearly—don’t look on it like you’re going to argue it with someone with a brain (”Have you seen the oversampling of democrats on this poll?”) because that stuff simply isn’t short enough for the people who swing elections—the people who actually don’t make up their mind until the last month or so. Do you really think those people are going to be swayed by facts and logic, or by the prevailing attitude, the ‘tone’ of MSM stories about her ‘divisiveness’ (another of those labels they throw on people they can’t say anything concise about).

We can post these kinds of articles all day, and they may make us feel he’s easily defeated. If that’s true, we’ll be saying that right up to the point when he gets the nomination, unless someone steps up and starts sucking up the oxygen he’s taking up.

Bad news. He supports the green agenda, mass transit, and is tight with McCain. True rino. Last election cycle he suppoted a new tax that was voted in (the clean water act). The money goes into the general fund, i.e. will get ear marked for social spending, not the environment like it was intended. They only sampled %14 of the lakes to make their case. RINO’s are stupid, they allow themselves the luxury of being bi-partisan, but get steamrolled in the end. Not to mention Pawlenty is about as interesting as a box of rocks.

I agree.

But can you name me one NON-RINO, with the...uh, er, (oh, I hate to use this damned word) gravitas to rally around?

And leave the knee-jerk feel-goods out of it, too.

I'd name some of the knee-jerk feel-goods, except for the controversy it would start, but let's float one out there: Bachmann.

I'm sure that'll get some nastiness going.

Hey, how about a Trump-Bachmann ticket?

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Go with it!

Then just this year, Romney denounced ObamaCare and distanced himself from RomneyCare. “Obamacare is bad law constitutionally, bad policy, and it is bad for America’s families. Our approach was a state plan intended to address problems that were in many ways unique to Massachusetts,” he said.

What "problems" are unique to Taxachusetts? Do they have diseases that the other 49 states dont?

I am convinced that the only REAL candidate we have is Newt, he is well-educated, smart, sharp and certainly experienced. I feel that he far outdistances Romney, Pawlenty, Barbour, Trump and the other possibles. I am not discounting Palin, she is a formidable candidate but I think the drumbeat of hate and lies from the left will make her weaker than the average American can comprehend. Newt has his flaws but I cannot see another candidate, other than Palin, who has the qualitites and courage needed to run against the powerful communists in the media, the unions and the DNC. Placing Gingrich against Obama in debates will clearly point out the horror of our present Administration and our leaderless leader, Barry the hamster.

I’m not sold on Trump as a conservative. I don’t know much about his social views and even his economic positions have been all over the board in recent years. It will be hard to defeat a RINO for the nomination, especially in the states that have open primaries. With no real Democrat primary races the left will cross over to vote in the Republican primaries and affect the outcome. ALL primaries should be closed...

Yep. Newt will do real well when the family value questions come up.

“So, Newt, why did you have divorce papers delivered to your wife while she was being treated for cancer? Couldn’t wait to set up house with your new popsie?”

Get real. I used to be in his district. I wouldn’t vote for him.
