One of the sneaky things they’ve been doing for some time now is keeping prices the same, or increasing by small increments, but making the package size smaller.
For instance, many boxes of breakfast cereal are now 13oz or less, where they used to be 16 or 24 ounce. Canned tuna fish is now in 5oz cans, rather than 6 ounce. And a number of brands of OJ is now being sold in 56oz cartons, rather than 64 ounce.
Sneaky... Or maybe it’s just Michelle trying to get us to cut down on our portions, so we’ll lose weight.

Toilet paper rolls smaller, soup cans waaay smaller, etc.
What I don't understand is it's gotta cost to redesign and retool the machines that make the packages plus the machines that fill the packages.
Manufacturers and retailers are really being squeezed: FOMC Beige Book: The Margin Squeeze Is Everywhere
Notice that the smart marketers are doing the opposite. JIF peanut butter advertises on their label that they haven’t reduced the size. Saw that on a brand of OJ and some other products, too.
I appreciate not being treated like I am stupid.
