I don’t think whites are oppressed, but it’s not “OK” to be white. If you are caucasian, there is, according to society, NOTHING to be proud of in your heritage. Forget all of the liberty and technology and progress made in the past by people with pinkish skin. You must be ashamed and you must give preferential treatment to those with darker hues.
It’s kind of stupid. I like the whole colorblind idea far better than all this Racial Pride, like Sotomayor and her “wise Latina,” as if her heritage had anything to do with her wisdom. Let’s forget about race. The 2010 census had about 50 different combinations of races, and it’s getting ridiculously out of hand.
Race? HUMAN. Period.
It's human nature. To think that human beings won't sort themselves by genetic lineages and traits as they have been doing for all of recorded history is the most utopian idea ever to come out of liberalism.
You might have to wait a couple centuries for that idea to take hold. What to do until then? Keep in mind the average melanin content of the population continues to climb with each passing year, which is fine except that progressive continually take advantage of it and foment racial discord at ever turn. I'd say a more defensive attitude in in order.

I wish that were true, and most whites may feel that way but the reality is most races don't.
To blacks and most Hispanics ethic pride, tribalism or whatever you want to call it trumps all. Freedom, Liberty, the Constitution are just meaningless terms to them. They will vote for their race over their country every time.
Go to any city of 100,000 or more people, with more than 20% being minorities. Then apply for work at the postal service, the transit authority, the county courthouse. See where that gets you.

Most large companies have quotas for hiring ‘minorities’ which amounts to anyone not a white male. Less qualified is ok. White is not ok.
Been through the Atlanta airport recently? There are essentially no whites working there.
How would you explain the legalized discrimination in terms of hiring/promotion (initially in the public sector, now forced on the private sector), college admissions?
It is legalized discrimination, and generates a lot of hate and division. On the flip side, it has done nothing for those it was to benefit, as they are treated as sub-humans by their “benefactors”. The soft bigotry of lowered expectations has damaged them; nobody takes them seriously, and as long as this situation exists, any smart person should question their intelligence and capabilities.
