I know that the Press thinks that this is “cool”, but I can’t imagine how this wouldn’t back fire on the Dems.
It looks cowardly, shows contempt for their jobs, is immature, and shows that they have antipathy for the fiscal crisis of their state.

This same thing happened in Texas years ago andthe MSM focused on how the GOP “improperly” used law enforcement to find them and THAT was the focus of the story.
As bad as this looks for the dems, the msm will always make the republicans look like the bad guys.
Democrats did this in Texas a few years ago, ran off to I think Oklahoma, and I remember the media treating them like heroes.
It looks to me as though the Democrats ARE SHUTTING DOWN THE STATE GOVERNMENT, just weeks before they plan to shut down the federal government and blame it on Republicans.
