So am I. She actually did have to go there because it was her job and her employer sent her there; she wasn’t out there cheerleading.

But I think that the media, which is wildly pro-Islamist, may have had a wakeup call. These peaceful, celebrating Muslims beat a male reporter and sexually attacked a female reporter, and would have done a lot more damage had it not been for the Egyptian army. I hope CBS et al. think twice before sending their reporters (of either sex) into a crowd like this again.

Debbie Schussel is blaming the wrong person. The real culprits are the Muslims, but the true fools were the media chains.

Thank you. If someone had told me how many freepers would be from the “yeah well, she was asking for it” school I would have called them liars. I would have been wrong.

How there can be ANY justification made for a mob of brutal savages raping a woman is beyond me.

Not her fault she was raped.

But only those who go into the ocean get attacked by sharks.

I am too. Everybody, put down your politics for 2 secs and be a human being for God’s sake. She was a reporter covering a news story. Whether she supported the revolution or not, whether she was a lib or not...none of that matters. Debbie Schluessel’s comments are just as bad as Nir Rosen’s. Shame on both of them. Shame on the left. Shame on the right. SHAME!!!!

Mrs. Logan and her family will be in my prayers.

Thank you, and keep hammering that in.

Some here don't seem to realize that many of our overseas Embassy staff are female, are are many of the overseas dependents of male staffers.

Do they expect them to all submit to sharia in islamic turd world countries by wearing hijab, abaya or burkas and blame them if the get molested or raped by a savage pack of koranimals?

The world is not a safe place... and some us have to be in unpleasant places, and deal with unpleasant people so we can do our jobs - for the safety and benefit of others.

I am also sick of people blaming Logan. She was covering a story in a country alleged to be friendly to us. We should be supporting Logan.

Yes, the "She shouldn't have dressed that way." attitude isn't helpful. But there is a lesson to be learned by this episode.

We cannot allow our nation to be taken in by the Leftist narrative.

In our schools and in our entertainment and media, a template is relentlessly adhered to. Muslims good, Westerners bad. The idea that the uprising in Egypt was a wonderful upwelling of democracy and other tasty goodness is laughable. If democracy were to rise in most Muslim countries, the people would be bombing Christian churches, raping women (and punishing the victims), stoning adulterers and molesting children. The media Logan is a part of turns a blind eye to these kinds of 3rd world pathologies and sends female journalists into the midst of it. (I am reminded of the scene in the movie "War of the Worlds" when Pastor Dr. Matthew Collins walks up to the alien craft in peace - and gets barbecued. But I digress.)

So this rape was NOT AN ANOMALY. The sooner the American people realize this, the better off we will be. And in the end, just as it probably isn't a good idea for an attractive female to walk around Compton after dark, or for a bleeding man to jump into a tank of hungry sharks, it was a very foolish thing for Logan to go were she went when she went.

No, she wasn't to blame for being raped. Her willingly warped worldview was.

She wasn't raped. They hit her and grabbed her T&A. Not pleasant, to be sure. But not rape.

Exactly. People want to blame everyone but the Muslim Extremists for the evil they do.

I don't think people are blaming her, just commenting on the irony.

She considers herself pretty hot stuff and wrecked a lot marriages among her fellow reporters during her time embedded in Iraq. The baby they mention here is illegitimate by one of them (Michael Ware, I think). She was expelled from Egypt the week before the attack, for her own protection, and insisted on going back. She knows the Middle East well, but still walked around in pants, an unbuttoned shirt and no head covering. When I travel ANYWHERE outside the US, I always dress the most conservatively I can.

What happened to her was certainly not her fault, but muslims are muslims.

Who's doing that? That's like blaming Daniel Pearl for getting his head sliced off by KSM, who continues to enjoy absurdly comfortable captivity at US expense.

The animals attacked her because they thought she was a Jew, and that's how they deal with Jewish females!

What's interesting about this incident is that a liberal experienced the true nature of the people for whom she and her colleagues have been apologizing. No reason not to revel in the irony. At the expense of her, her employer, and the rest of the MSM.
