'No one told her to go there': Now FEMALE pundit lays into Egypt sex attack victim Lara Logan
Daily Mail UK ^ | February 16, 2011

A female political pundit has been heavily criticised for suggesting Lara Logan should have seen her sex attack coming - and for calling the Egyptians who were protesting for democracy 'animals'.

Debbie Schlussel posted a picture of Miss Logan on her blog, under the headline: 'Islam Fan Lara Logan Gets a Taste of Islam', before adding 'How fitting that Lara Logan was “liberated” by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over the other part of the “liberation".'

It comes as an American academic, Nir Rosen, yesterday resigned from his post at New York University after calling Miss Logan a 'warmonger' who was 'trying to outdo' rival news correspondent Anderson Cooper.

CBS correspondent Miss Logan endured a 'brutal and sustained' sexual assault and beating while covering the resignation of President Mubarak in Egypt.

The mother-of-one had been surrounded by an angry mob of 200 people before the assault which is thought to have lasted up to half an hour. She had to be saved by a group of women and 20 Egyptian soldiers and was later taken to hospital.

Yesterday Schlussel, who is Jewish, wrote: 'Lara Logan was among the chief cheerleaders of this 'revolution' by animals.

'Now she knows what Islamic revolution is really all about.

'So sad, too bad, Lara.

You seem to be arguing against yourself. Do you mean to say that I, Sport Ute Girl herself, should stay away from SUV’s because they are dangerous?
Muslims have learned very well the politically correct way of blaming ‘society’ or ‘Islamophobia’ for their actions. I say they and only they should be blamed. Certainly not the victim.”

Sorry, but choosing to be a victim when you place your hand on the hot stove, and in the basket of poisenous snakes has sure consequences. Critiquing the motivations of the stove and the snakes is ridiculous.

I don’t think it’s fair to label freepers as the knuckle draggers and mouth breathers.

The knuckle draggers are the muslims.

What most are saying here is that one cannot rely on their US citizenship, the UN, a “Progressive” philosophy, or status as a reporter for protection in the dangerous parts of the world.

There really are people and entire cultures with alternate values systems where different rules apply. It should not be a surprise to find that muslims operate by their own rulebook. It is foolish to enter their world and expect them to treat you by your rules. They don’t give a tinker’s dam about Title 9, women’s Lib or gender equality.

We have ample evidence that these people will do us harm at every opportunity. It is wise for us all to consider that. Even moreso if you are a blonde, American female travelling to a muslim stronghold.

What's too funny is if you get bitten after defending the human snakes as freedom fighters. And far from being ridiculous, criticizing the motives of the human snakes is the essence of the struggle.

You're sounding dangerously multicultural. Not all cultures are equal. Some are more equal than others. The Mooselimbs operate by a different rulebook, to be sure. An invalid and inferior rulebook!

She considers herself pretty hot stuff and wrecked a lot marriages among her fellow reporters during her time embedded in Iraq. The baby they mention here is illegitimate by one of them (Michael Ware, I think). She was expelled from Egypt the week before the attack, for her own protection, and insisted on going back.

Interesting, (assuming accuracy), this fits leftist behavioral, moral and ethical standards, and the left subscribes to moral equivalency, which, in Cairo, is democratically approved Egyptian cultural values and Shariah law.

Seems moral equivalency can bite ya in the butt.

I know.

Most of us are extrapolating here, from the undeserved attack on Lara, to an assessment on the underlying causes. Some of us are extrapolating to the irony in the media’s thrill of it all to the media getting body slammed by said thrill. All of us are sorry Lara was hurt, which is a given.

I don’t have a clue about Logan’s morality. News to me.

“grabbed her T&A”

That’s your choice of words for female body parts? Are you in 10th grade? Shouldn’t you be at band practice or doing your homework? /s

So now, according to many, this sex pot, as she's referred to often on many Internet pages, is above all criticism because she was "sexually assulted" whatever that means (and not "raped" as the outraged falsifiers above claim.) Well, excuuuuuse me!

I can just imagine a conversation in the executive suites of CBS:

VP1: I wish we could send Angelina to Egypt. You know, blood and guts of a revolution and a sexy chick in front reporting.
VP2: Angie's on a shoot, and she'd ask for too much.
VP1: Who of we got?
VP2: The Logan babe!
VP1: Is that the best we can do?

‘When someone does evil, it is their fault, not “the Jews”, or “America’s” fault. Blame the perp, not the victim.”

Whats irrational about it is expecting an evil doer to be civil. When someone puts themselves in a position of extreme vulnerability to the evil doer they can expect the logical outcome.

Yesterday, there were those saying it was Logans fault because she is a liberal. Today I see more of the same.

I wonder how many of these neanderthals would think the same if it was their wife/daughter/girlfriend being assaulted at work.

My wife said “what the heck did she expect going there and being dressed like that”

My wife wouldn’t be stupid enough to walk into the middle of a riot. Let alone walking into that riot wearing a low cut blouse and a pearl necklace. Never mind a riot compromised of 90% muslim men after numerous reports of violence against westerners.

I would do everything possible to stop my loved one from being in harm’s way - especially in a Moslem country!

The incident with Lara Logan revealed these animals for what they are and, as such, may possibly redound negatively to his Zero-ness who has been taking credit for everything up until now.

Yesterday, it was a BIG story.
Today: *crickets*

>>>And by the way, actually somebody did tell Lara Logan to go there. CBS News told her to go there and get the story.>>>

What do you suppose would happen if CBS had said “We’re sending a man, Lara; it’s just too risky for a woman” Can you say sex discrimination lawsuit? For all we know, CBS may have preferred to send a man, but felt its hands were tied.

"Debbie Schussel is blaming the wrong person. The real culprits are the Muslims, but the true fools were the media chains."

You appear to have misread what she had said. Schlossel did not blame her for the rape and anti-Semitic hate, of which the Muslims are clearly the culprits, but for hypocrisy. The same goes for the networks, which would immediately report the case if it happened in any Western country.

The reporter has been excusing Muslims, and probably will continue to do so, as long as rape is directed at other people. They always romanticize the "noble savage." And when the savage once again shows itself to be nothing but a savage, they simply drop the case and move on to the next savage to romanticize. In the case of Egpyt, this will happen shorty, as all those "noble protesters" will vote in Islamist government, just as they did in Lebanon and the "occupied" Gaza --- and just as the Germans voted for Hitler in 1930s.

Did I say actions don’t have consequences? NO! I said they didn’t “deserve” to be killed or raped as has been suggested here. That is a sickening concept and I don’t know how any moral person can suggest or believe that another “deserves” either.

The sad thing is that this reporter was actually pretty good on some things and did not excuse Muslims, which is why the left came out and said she deserved this because she was a “warmonger.”

I think she went there assuming that she had the protection of the network and assuming that it was still a country where the rule of law applied (which it doesn’t once Muslim radicals get in power). She had gotten kicked out once before because they didn’t like her reporting, but she obviously thought this was the same old Egypt where they might escort you out of the country...but you were not going to get a punitive Islamic rape in a “celebrating” crowd. She was obviously wrong on that one, thanks to our very own Imam Obama.

Logan is beautiful, married and has a family. I’m not surprised at Schlussel’s reaction.

She did not get what she deserved. She deserved to be home with her family. Her brain deceived her. Her brain told her liberal lies and she believed them. Believing lies can get you killed.
