Black American Dreads Black History Month (TEA Party Patriot)
American Thinker ^ | Feb 4, 2011 | Lloyd Marcus

February 1, 2011: I can't help imagining Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, and all of the other race-profiteering usual suspects joyously awakening with a song in their hearts. "It's The Most Wonderful Month of the Year."

Ah, yes, another Black History Month! Time to pitch as many new guilt-trip government entitlement programs as possible. "I mean, after all, we blacks are still victims of America's racist attitudes and systematic abuse, which has changed very little since the '50s. White America still owes us, damn it!"

See, I know how to sound like a good little colored boy who knows his place on the Liberal Plantation. Democrat Massa's chief overseer Sharpton would be proud of me.

Just once, I would love to see Black History Month focused on celebrating the tremendous contributions by blacks in all areas of American life. Include a few "shout-outs" to the decent, God-fearing, righteous white folks who helped. That would aid in bringing our nation together, as opposed to the month being used divisively for political exploitation and extortion.

Black History Month should be a fair and balanced presentation of the history of Americans of African descent. Notice that I said "Americans" rather than "African-Americans."

Our liberal anti-American public school system, the liberal media, and black race-profiteering so-called leaders make no effort to encourage black youths to be proud Americans. They even discourage it. Their efforts are focused on creating proud "Africans" who happen to live in America.

I don’t owe them anything, we didn’t keep slaves. Neither did my parents or grandparents and on and on and yet our lines come from VA, AL, MS and TX. Sorry, we were just too poor to have slaves so we had to pick our own cotton, raise beans, butcher hogs and live in substandard housing.

I think there were some indentured servants and I’m encouraging to sue for reparations from England or whoever I can find that’s responsible for that but England seems to have turned into Muzzieland so that won’t work. They might take us back as slaves, don’t need that, I think I’ll just remain AMERICAN and “MOVE FORWARD”, sounds like a neat motto, is that being used yet?

I could cry when I think of how Obama could have ended racism. He had such a wonderful opportunity to be a great president, but instead he is taking the world backwards 60 yrs. Still this is a wonderful article and gives me hope in humankind again. Thank you.

I’m fairly certain that my ancestors were not of the nobility in any of the various countries they lived in (certainly the horse thief branch wasn’t), which means we must be descendants of serfs. Someone owes us something, that’s for sure. Time to pay up, whomever you are!

Our horse thief branch just may be linked to your horse thief branch! LOL! I think serfs is the better label, thanks!

We can still set trotlines, putter around in small “pick up” Jon boats (not always with a motor, sometimes a piece of 1x4 board for a paddle), kill a deer on occasion and process it.

A liberal acquaintance often asks: “Why kill a deer? Or anything?” and I just usually tell him “to watch ‘em drop” which sends him into orbit. No, we don’t just “watch ‘em drop”, I’ll probably never convince him otherwise...

Recently there was a hubub over the 3/5 term regarding negro slaves for representation purposes in the original Constitution.

Black callers to talk radio and especially C-Span were in high dudgeon over the White Man's enslavement of Blacks 220+ years ago.

Yet today, there is rarely a peep from the same people regarding White Man's MURDER of nearly half a million black babies a year and the political party that protects the crime.

The problem with Black History Month is that they do not celebrate Blacks who really have contributed to society.

Its the usual “phony civil rights leader” or the “gay black dancer who died of AIDS”. Who knows, maybe this year they throw in a Wesley Snipes film festival

Instead of celebrating treasonous Commies like WEB DuBois and Paul Robeson....how about more emphasis on Booker T Washington and George Washington Carver?

One common feature of Black History Month is that we’re going to be treated to a whole lot of myths masquerading as fact delivered from both sides of the equation.

Our liberal anti-American public school system, the liberal media, and black race-profiteering so-called leaders make no effort to encourage black youths to be proud Americans. They even discourage it.

In that sense, they are color blind as they espouse the very same philosophy with all their students, regardless of color, religion or ethnicity.

While there are very many decent, patriotic teachers out there, the Teaching Establishment as a whole is controlled by the left-over human vomit of the the 1960’s. Cynics in the true sense of the word, they bite the very hand that has fed them and provided them with a lucrative and very often unjustified income.

Black History Month sounds as racist as White History Month.
Why does it perpetuate?

When is there going to be a White History Month? That’s what I want to know.
