I think they’ve been given their orders from the top.
Anderson Cooper reporting he and his team have been roughed up, he was hit on the head. stuff was thrown at them...and he said the army did nothing and that was “shocking” (Anderson doesn’t know about military discipline) ...
Hard to see how this will end well. Mubarak has decided he’s not going anywhere and that is re-energizing the protestors...it’s now a big MESS.
Coopers in the middle of a crisis what did he expect tea and biscuits.
He’s lucky he aint got stabbed yet, tehy seems to be no discretion on who’s getting their heads cracked and the mubarak lot will take the reporters out first.
” I think theyve been given their orders from the top. “
Yeah - but which ‘top’??
The Generals, beyond some lukewarm ‘support’ for Mubarak in the early days, have been strangely silent, of late...
Is Hosni still in control of the Army, and holding them back for a later stage in the revolt??
Or is the Army Leadership staying on the sidelines, ready to step in and assume control when the chaos becomes complete??
Or am I over-thinking this??
