The Muslim Brotherhood is not ruthless. Evil, yes. Genocidal, yes. Ruthless no. Mao was ruthless. Stalin was ruthless. Hitler was ruthless. The Syrians have been ruthless, as the Iranian Basaji and significant elements of Hizbuallah.
There are some of the Brotherhood who could be ruthless. And now chaos.

Gibbs is a clear illustration of how inept, incompetent and helpless the USA has become, in handling a crisis of this magnitude. Imagine the outcome if this were much more serious? (Not minimizing it, this will likely escalate into something very deadly and threatening to the rest of the Free World.
British reporter is aghast that Obama hasn’t been in touch with world leaders to have common response. Gibbs dodges and says he doesn’t know what conversations may have taken place during press conference.

Soldiers in tanks were given no instructions but to protect people and property.
If you watch the AlJazeera live stream, the army vehicles are surrounded by peacable demonstrators and there is no tension, at least in this one area. They are moving with crowds cheering.
Methinks we are witnessing the dawn of the PostMubarak era.

Gibbs says grievances have reached boiling point. Aid depends on what Egypt does about these grievances.
Dodging Vodaphone shutdown question. Reporters want to know why WH doesn’t tell British Vodaphone to turn internet back on. Gibbs says people should have the freedom to use social media and the internet. Gibbs getting testy. No conversation with Obama and Mubarek is not because Mubarek is unavailable.
Obvious that it’s ok to this admin that Egyptian govt can fall if it means Egyptians get to twitter.
MaObama is still waiting for his writers to prepare his Teleprompter “response”. Then, take another hour or two for him to reherse it.
