From FOX:
DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.
From TWITTER:
WashingtonPost: Clinton: We urge #Egypt authorities to allow peaceful protest, reverse unprecedented steps it has taken to cut off communications less than 20 seconds ago
We are all in for a fitful night of sleep now knowing that AC is putting himself at risk for us...
Locals convinced he is hiding in his summer house in Sharm el Sheikh perfect hiding place and a boat ride to Saudi within minutes.
well said
ROFL! Exactly. Some eejit tweeted that AC was on his plane in first class and that Egypt is now important since AC is on the way.
SOmehow, knowing Anderson Cooper is inbound, I am torn between listening to “Ahab the Arab or watching Steve Martin as King Tut
Not bad, not bad at all
Anderson Cooper, our patron saint of trouble spots, everywhere he goes is a disaster.
Thanks for the link. ;)
GOD bless and watch over Bibi and the people of Isreal AMEN OH, and GOD..watch over us too, we are being lead by a PUTZ! AMEN
If you look at the skeletally thin, sickly Obambi being shown on Fox as the officially provided White House photo as he chairs a meeting and realize that health apart, Obambi has no clue at what he has done and what he should do, we are better off with his absence from the decision making process.
I am really beginning to think he is gravely ill and there is more to the stomach parasites story we are being fed.
My wife, a naturalized citizen born in Thailand, is infuriated with the CNN commentators who are themselves US citizens calling Eygpt “their” country. FWIW
Yesterday the tweets were calling for the police to leave. Today they are whining there is no police presence to protect them. The army is telling people they don’t have orders to protect civilians. It seems that Mubarak has possibly given them what they want, possibly even sending in police in plain clothes to cause mayhem (according to tweets), and letting “the people” stew in their own juices. Even the fire departments have stood down and are just letting things burn.
Effective or not?
If you haven’t seen it already you might want to check out post #1972 on this thread.
but failed to make him look healthy rather than frail and weak.
Geraldo just started a 2-hour show on Fox now. I give him about 5 minutes before he compares Egyptions to the “plight” of undocumented Mexicans in the US.
please tell me you have had another update from your friend and everything is okay..... I have thought about this all day since I left. My response to you was not what I should have said. Please tell me another update has made its way to you, and all is well. If no contact, to you, has been made, I would appreciate a response, so I may pray for her. Thanks.
It isnt truly a crisis until WHOREaldo is there in full hyperventilating and SHep Smith is somewhere in the area trying to hide under a folding chair (obsucre reference to Isreali conflicts a few years back when Shep was trying to hide under a folding chair, and Jennifer Griffin had all she could do, not to bust a gut laughing on national TV)
SAudi Arabia has offered him support and refuge - safer than Israel but with things the way they are, not by much
Interesting connections possibly developing...
