The new Republican House majority leader says he doesn't think questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship should play a role in the discussion of policy matters.
Two years into the Obama administration, so-called birthers continue to argue that Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and that he hasn't proved he's constitutionally qualified to be president. Birth records in Hawaii haven't dissuaded them.

I hope you saw post #70 that makes the point that Obama’s refusal to reveal records relating to his citizenship status threatens to establish a terrible precendent. State laws need to be passed ASAP, especially in ones with the high electoral counts.

The longer this gets pushed off ...the worse it will be when it is finally uncovered. The truth is ...no matter what is on his birth certificate it isn't his "fault," he was a baby at the time. The only thing that could be so destructive as to need to be hidden or covered up...is if Barry is not who he claims to be. (multiple identity SS# theft). Is not a US citizen, but an illegal alien (see adoption and dual citizenship matters). Any thing else is a non-starter issue.
Frankly, I’m glad Eric Cantor didn’t take the bait. I don’t want the Republicans in Congress sidetracked by this issue. They need to concentrate on the job we elected them to do, and start reducing spending by trimming the Federal Government. That will keep them plenty occupied over the next two years. Then, if they don’t do THAT job, we can replace them with people who WILL do it!
Question for Eric Cantor= if obama is not a NBC, and a illegal prez, does that make you a traitor to your own country for supporting his cause?

The COLB that was posted on Obama’s website shows that Obama is the son of a non citizen father born in Hawaii. That in itself is prima Facia that he is not a NBC, however, if I recall correctly, the COLB was a fabrication posted on Obama’s website by some one other than an offical, and then adopted by Obama’s election team as real.
Canter’s statement above begs the question.....the Constitutional requirenment for Presidential eligibility is not mere citizenship, but a special quality of citizenship, one that encompasses the aspects of both jus solis and jus sanquines....that is birth on the soil to citizen parents.

The American Kennel Club requires that a canines’ parents, both dog and bitch, be proven and documented individuals of a specific (the same) breed in order to be considered for competition in the doggy arena......

Cantor needs to know how infuriated and disgusted a large percentage of us are. This BS has got to stop. Nov meant nothing to these insular, out-of-touch DC insiders. They’ve got a short time to turn their sorry butts around in, or else we can only hope, pray and work tirelessly to primary them out of office.
