This is classic CYA. The Sheriff is going to be found as one of the contributors to this event. He had knowledge of this murderers beliefs and mental instability. He did nothing to keep the public safe from him. As time goes on this guy is going to be the poster child for lazy police work.You win.

Exactly. It is Sheriff's C. Dupnik’s fault. It happened on his watch. He failed to protect the victims, and now he talks like a defense lawyer.

Just saw this joke of a Sheriff with Megyn Kelly. If this is the best Tucson has to protect its people Arizona is in really really bad shape. This guy has no feeling, he as cold as the snow here in Jersey. Out of respect for the families of the victims he should have stuck to facts and reported on the status of the case. Instead he shows no emotion just rants a political bias. I just can not believe what I watched. What a disgrace.
