The question that should be asked of Dupnik, but hasn’t been, is this:
“Sheriff, you keep referring to the rhetoric of cable news and talk radio. Do you have any evidence showing a relationship between that and this shooting?”
Follow-up:
“You have indicated that Loughner had previously had run-ins with the police and had threatened to kill people. Why did your department allow him 1) to buy a gun, and 2) to remain free?”
Excellent question! His remarks are typical of placing the blame elsewhere because he feel directly responsible himself. Psychiatric projection.
