Admittedly, the family has retreated behind their fence (and who would blame them?), but there must be more that is available even without the family’s assistance. Let’s hear more about whether or not mom works for the AZ dnr. What has been the parental involvement with the disruptive son? For starters, does the kid have a job? If not, who paid for the pricey gun he used ($500 plus $17 for the clip)?

yep, read the link above to the Pima County College statement on him. He was told he had to get a MENTAL HEALTH clearance to come back. He never did that. This goes into detail what the College did. They had POLICE go to his house and speak with him and his parents.
He appears to be an only child. Mom works for the Parks Board, in the area of Environmental Conservation and wetlands. Dad’s name is Randy and mom Amy. Couldn’t find where dad worked. Both are in their early 50’s.

My working theory is that he bought the gun shortly after getting kicked out of school. Which he somehow linked his inability to learn with fraud and since the school is state run he hates the government. He was going to do a VT shooter boy thing. His mom's job, a government one, was probably on the line if not already gone about the same time approaching Christmas, leaning towards more anti government feelings. He had previously met the Congresswoman in 2007 and personally thought she was stupid. So he figured she was as good as any to take out from the government.
I pray for the families whose lives he has devastated.

sorry i’m responding so late. she was a park manager, now works in the Environmental resources for the parks dept. (is what i’ve seen in documents)
No problem with time. There’s been a lot of misleading stuff posted about her employment, including one thread that was deleted for some reason. I visited it on Saturday, then found it deleted when I combed through my ‘history’ this morning. I’m simply trying to get to the facts.

I had an “editor” that’s still employed by the Arizona Republic (which used to be a great paper 20+ years ago) that “facts” didn’t matter. I called up to correct an article which was written (pro-illegal) with wrong “facts” and told her that the “facts” were readily available in the FREE Chandler newspaper that was delivered weekly.
