That is very disheartening.
The score I heard was 99-0.
It looks like McConnell sold us out on Food, DADT, START, and pork in the tax bill in order to kill the omnibus bill.
I hope I got bad info on that vote...but it wouldn’t make much difference at this point, would it?
AJ
O.W., I gave you some bad info on the “Food Safety” vote.
It was approved 78-22. Both DeMint and Coburn voted against it.
Sorry. I should know better than to pass along MSM information reported in haste.
That doesn’t make S510 suck any less but at least there are fewer sellouts in the Senate than what I thought there were.
Once again, my apologies.
More info from TexasFossil:
“That[99-0] was what was reported in The Hill but you could not find a reference anywhere on the senate.gov or Thomas websites. Nothing anywhere.
The explanation I heard was that they realized it had to originate in the House since it was a revenue bill, and resubmitted it. It took a couple of days before I could find the data.
This is being sold by the scare of preventing Al-Qaeda from using food contamination to attack the U.S. That is a stupid approach to solving that, but the real reason is the Global Ag Corps want this to eliminate the competition.
If you are hungry in 2011, dont blame a farmer, blame the lying POLs. Same place to blame if your food costs sky-rocket this year. It could happen. The speculators are doing all they can to creat that problem now.
The Dems passed HR2749/S.510 about 1-1/2 years ago. They intended to use it for the ultimate population control tool. Food as a subjection tool. Commie Bas___ds!”
