It looks like McConnell sold us out on Food, DADT, START, and pork in the tax bill in order to kill the omnibus bill.
I hope I got bad info on that vote...but it wouldn’t make much difference at this point, would it?

O.W., I gave you some bad info on the “Food Safety” vote.
It was approved 78-22. Both DeMint and Coburn voted against it.

That doesn’t make S510 suck any less but at least there are fewer sellouts in the Senate than what I thought there were.

The explanation I heard was that they realized it had to originate in the House since it was a revenue bill, and resubmitted it. It took a couple of days before I could find the data.
This is being sold by the scare of preventing Al-Qaeda from using food contamination to attack the U.S. That is a stupid approach to solving that, but the real reason is the Global Ag Corps want this to eliminate the competition.
