This the liberal cocoon elite libs like Meachan and Halperin live in. If someone doesn’t walk around waving Mao’s little red book or talk about collectivization while singing The Internationale, then they’re certainly not left of center. “Progressive” and “liberal” have always simply been a deceptive label on an ideology of centralized authoritarian state control.

It matters not whether the real underlying ideology is identified as “communist”, “socialist”, or “fascist”, there is little practical difference in the final implementation and result.
