Im not an Alaskan, but would not think so, unless space was provided on the absentee ballots for a write in. I am not even sure Murkowski had started her campaign when the absentee ballots were mailed to the military.”
What PARTY designation would be applied to Lisa?
She had lost the Republican Primary & the Independent party rejected her. IF she is not shown as a write in candidate on the military ballots, the SAME as the rest of the ballots, then that surely should be a violation of election law.
UOCAVA ballots 2008 [state by state info]:
Absentee ballot count from evening of 11/9 saying some 12,000 left to be counted. The question I have do they include the UOCAVA ballots that have been received? Who knows.

There is a certain window of time for absentee ballots to be received back in the state.
The bulk of the absentee ballots referred to here are Military ballots—which MAY have been sent late.
Some states sent them VERY late. Such behavior should be greeted with severe penalties, lots of $$$$ fined & PRISON TIME, & NOT in some fancy Federal place with all the niceties.
Actually, this schedule was changed up...that isn’t true any longer except for the Military Absentees.
I am not even sure Murkowski had started her campaign when the absentee ballots were mailed to the military.
She hadn’t officially filed the letter of intent or whatever it is called with the state when the UOCAVA ballots were mailed. I would think the UOCAVA ballot would have a write-in option but I am not sure, speculation on my part.
Not sure what the actual schedule is, just posting what the AK Elections Division has on it’s website.
The actual schedule you posted...Alaska Election Officials changed it and didn’t even give Joe Miller the proper notice.
“She is unworthy of even the lowest of republican bodies the Senate Republicans.”
Unfortunately, she’s more in line with half of the current GOP leadership than we’d care to know...they proved that by not kicking her off committees when she ran to oppose the legitimate Republican primary victor, after promising she would respect the results (she lied.)
“Too funny if the Alaskans voting for their Pork Queen find themselves out in the cold. I am for an absolute government shutdown. No increase in the debt and a debt reduction of a severe nature.”
Nicely constructed, and fits in nicely with your screen name...:)
“The Establishment Republicans (both politicians and constituents) in Alaska SUCK BIG TIME!”
This is true throughout the nation, but they are certainly proving it there, hmm?
I don’t think there was any change even though Miller campaign tweeted that the start had been moved up to Friday but later retracted the claim.
*******
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - An Alaska election has disputed claims made Friday by the Joe Miller campaign in the U.S. Senate race.
Miller tweeted that counting of absentee votes had been moved up to Friday. But Division of Elections Director Gail Fenumiai said that wasn’t true.
She said the absentee count will begin Tuesday - a week after the election, in keeping with standard protocol.
Miller’s campaign later corrected that statement, but then claimed the state had started the pre-count process of verifying absentee ballots without notice on its calendar or notifying the campaign.

“Absentee ballot count from evening of 11/9 saying some 12,000 left to be counted.”
Right deport - thanks. Joe Miller said yesterday when he was in Juneau that there were about 8,000 absentees left to count. My guess is that the late arriving ballots are going to mostly be military ballots that will go nicely for Joe, an Army veteran.
It’s an open question whether they’ve been counting the military ballots right along. We’ve been wondering that for several days.
In any case, my calculations in post #34 would mean that Joe Miller very possibly will be UP in the uncontested vote count at the end of this - then it’s up to the court to review and uphold clearly stated AK election law on about 8,000 contested and counted votes.
This part of the story is being left out of every lame stream propaganda alphabet soup story on this.
Hmmm.......any surprise in that? Morons...(I called Local CBS that posted this story this morning:
http://www.ktva.com/ci_16606303
Their news room line is: 907-274-1111 - let’s ask them to cover the WHOLE story here, shall we?)
Here’s the link on that story.

Clearly the state using a couple of old court cases is doing whatever they want in this write-in count - despite really clear AK election law. The above story only confirms that they do not truly respect the Miller candidacy.
Thanks....... I thought I had put the link in but now see I didn’t.
“Millers campaign later corrected that statement, but then claimed the state had started the pre-count process of verifying absentee ballots without notice on its calendar or notifying the campaign.”
This part was never disputed by the state, right? That, this:

Murkowski and state officials are on the same side
And the fact that the state is using an approach that clearly favors murk over clearly written AK election law says a LOT.
“She had better be totally avoided in the Senate if the Republican Senators know what’s good for them.”
Lyin’ Lisa has made it clear she opposed Palin and the Tea Parties. This whole debacle will be spun as some huge defeat for Palin, unless they uphold clear AK election law. Miller may well be up at the end of the count in uncontested votes. But you’d never know that by reading the propaganda press (of course.)
It would be interesting to see a breakout of the absentee ballots, such as location, military, etc. I read one article where some guy who was the leader of the Alaska Boat Captians group encouraging the group to vote Murkowski which I surmised would be absentee write-ins but don’t know for sure. The group numbered some 4,000 according to the article which I can’t find now.

AK is a unique state - that’s for sure. Visited the beautiful Glacier Bay, et al, just this past May. Was in Juneau also on that trip...Saw Palin’s governor’s picture in the Statehouse...
“Not every Republican can be as pure as some people here want them to be..”
She can be an R if she wants to put that letter after her name and vote with us. That doesn’t mean she gets to hold onto her leadership posts though after her lies and shenanigans and disrespect for the Party’s primary system.
Don’t you agree with that?
Not every Republican can be as pure as some people here want them to be..
What for? It's not like we're going to control the senate. RINOs are always telling us how important it is to vote for the nominee, even if we have to hold our nose. Suddenly, when the primary doesn't produce an establishment approved candidate, they just throw all that out? Screw murkowski, (figuratively of course), the best she should be able to hope for is a comittee on sanitation.
