It is the prerogative of the gym to allow/disallow what’s on their TVs. It is the prerogative of their customers to purchase/not purchase memberships in said gym.

I belonged to a gym about 4 years ago and the members nearly always had it on CNN and when I would go in to work out, I would walk over and switch it. Never had a problem either. Must be my ‘bull in a china shop’ demeanor. LOL!

My non-scientific observation at the Lifetime Fitness gym I belong to- the treadmills in front of the FOX News screen are ALWAYS in use vs. the treadmills in front of CNN / MSNBC.

Our family belongs to the local YMCA. Management posts comments that they receive from members monthly. Every month, without fail, someone complains that “Faux” News is playing in the weight & cardio room. There are at least 10 t.v.’s playing and these cry babies can't handle it if even one t.v. is turned to Fox News.

Thankfully, our YMCA continues to keep Fox News on (as it continues to air MSNBC & CNN.)
