Carville predicts a punchout (GOP Takes House, Senate. Obama out in 2012)
National Post ^ | 11/1/10

Mr. Carville, the celebrity strategist behind Bill Clinton’s presidential campaigns, was warning a “hurricane” would descend on Washington on Nov. 1. The only question: Whether it was a minor or a major one.

In Calgary on Friday, for the Teatro Speakers Series, Mr. Carville was more definitive. It would be disastrous.

“It was said of Mike Tyson, he hits you so hard, he changes the way you taste,” Mr. Carville says. For Democrats, “food’s going to taste very different Wednesday morning.” .........

Mr. Carville concedes that he is “more pessimistic than most Democrats” about Tuesday’s mid-term Congressional elections.

He thinks the Senate may go Republican, not just the House, since they’ve always, historically, flipped together. Oh, and he’s not sure Mr. Obama will run in 2012; he doesn’t seem to like the job.

“I hope I’m wrong,” he says of his outlook. Yet he doesn’t seem especially troubled. After all, he believes, it’s not his party’s fault, but larger forces conspiring against them.

Obama will not go quietly. He’s too arrogant and believes he’s doing a great job. If nothing else, he’s the unwanted guest who just hangs around after everyone has left. The Democrats are going to have to push him out-and it won’t be easy”

Sure would be nice if Tuesday’s results would spill over into the Chicago Mayoral race.

He is the one Democrat who is honest about what the polls are saying.

Ofcourse, he than reverts back to his Democrat mindset by saying that the TeaParty will not be able to handle being in power and turn on each other (wixhful thinking on his part)

I believe he is correct about Obama not wanting to run again.
