Nothing— They found nothing, This was an October surprise on obama and it fizzeled. When we do this over nothing,THE TERRORISTS WIN!!!
Yeah, got to get him out there to say "It's a credible threat." What? Other terrorist threats aren't credible? Like blowing up a plane in a Detroit suburb? No need to rush to a microphone for that. The Ft. Hood jihadi wasn't credible? How did anyone know then there wouldn't be several others across the country working together?
Don't call them terrorists, don't jump to conclusions, oh, but unarmed devices on two planes is a "credible threat" and "we're taking this seriously" and "Al Qaeda is behind this."
No, they definitely found something.
The terrorists win if they kill people. If they fail, and compromise their network in the process, they lose big.
Some info :
” According to the manufacturer, the taggant agent was voluntarily being added by 1991, years before the protocol signed became compulsory. Batches of Semtex made before 1990, however, are untagged, though it is not known whether there are still major stocks of such old batches of Semtex. The shelf life of Semtex was reduced from 10 years before the 1990s to 5 years now. Explosia states that there is no compulsory tagging allowing reliable post-detonation detection of a certain plastic explosive (such as incorporating a unique metallic code into the mass of the explosive), so Semtex is not tagged in this way”
This sure sounds like a dry run to me,,,
Either that or this was an old batch,,,
That mite account for the fire aboard that UPS aircraft
before it went down...
No, someone was to intercept the delivery before the package reached the address on the label. Like the pot delivery to a mayor of some Southern town- it was supposed to be diverted before it got to the innocent target.
A synagogue delivery will be less suspicious than some apartment.
Or, there are radical Rabbis expecting explosive shipments!
Has anyone said what the explosives were, how big, what type?
I don't buy either of those scenarios. It was said that they contained Semtex.
Here’s a case where someone was supposed to intercept the delivery, to a “safe” recipient. Things didn’t work out that way. The mayor was put on the address label probably because he’d be considered ‘safe”.
The radical Rabbi was a joke.
Who are “they” and what did they “find?
To see what security picks up before you send the expensive stuff ... ;-(
I don’t buy the dry run, but one thing’s obvious: the admInistRATion did not let the crisis go to waste.
A question for anyone: I was not around any media today... so did Homeland Security/authorities have a press conference (as they always did during Bush’s term) or was it just Obama making the official announcement?
Were these laser printers being sent to Jewish temples in Chicago? Oh - Jews get free printers from Yemen all the time, plug em in and they blow up?
This is such garbage. I dumped Tv but radio tonight during Hannity had a top of the hour news story crediting (Obama’s bosses/puppet masters) the Saudis with tipping the US off.
He is a Saudi stooge and this was such a fake PR stunt for the Islamo Marxist and his bosses the Saudis.
They win when they get a muslim in the white hut circa Nov 2008.
They win when Bloomberg okays a 911 Victory Mosque so his company can gain and maintain access to Islamic markets for financial terminals and data, print news and satellite TV financial news. That market is worth billions.
The Saudis have investments, deals and joint ventures with ALL 6 US TV networks.
I would think the timing is also so people in cars during rush hour hear it on radio, and it is the top news item during evening news on TV. Then, it’s a weekend, and Obama “needs” to campaign too- he was flying to Charlottesville to do so.
What I think is this is also being hyped because it is a trap for Republicans- they hope the opposition will say it is all phoney, and then they will say Republicans are politicizing national security etc. There are many levels to this. I believe it COULD have been a terror threat, but the fact Obama himself made the statement is political. He has “underlings” to do this sort of thing. Brennan or Big Sis could have dealt with it. There was no need for the President of the US to talk about toner cartidges from Yemen which did not blow up.
Looks like we have yet another mess on our hands...
There was a staunch ally of the WOT in office at the time in Spain. He lost reelection when he blamed a domestic group. There is no correlation to this, besides the timing. Ridge said he was pressured to hype terror during the Bush Admin. He may have lied to sell books. I agree that the reactions here may be overly cynical- I don’t necessarily believe this is a DNC hoax, but i believe Obama is overly political, and his handling of this is looks odd. His national security bonafides are damaged goods. No matter what he does, he will goof up. He is now so concerned with goofing up, he will be too concerned with politics, and won’t do the right thing unless it has a political payoff for him. It is because of how he mishandled earlier attacks and/or threats. It is also because he acts like a thug, and is opaque and threatening. It is his fault he is not trusted.
John “Breadbox” Brennan also made a statement. He said it was the size of a breadbox. Made me think of “What’s My Line?”
Miller was a pioneer in the investigation of Islamist terrorism. A great writer, her works will we useful for years to come.
On Tuesday, 7-Eleven, which operates in Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as the United States, thanked Mr Obama, taking care not to alienate Slurpee-sipping Republicans. <<<
Go signal for November 7th? Obama doesn't plan to stick around the US. He has been projecting his own laziness on Republicans, but how many Slurpees will he ingest on his Asia trip? Will he be "sipping on a Slurpee" while watching TV coverage of an attack on the US? Who can trust this u-slurper?
I agree with everything you wrote and would add that I think that the breathless media coverage is their desperate attempt to try to make the administration look competent. I am very disturbed to see FReepers so quick to dismiss the underlying truth about the islamists just because of who is in the White House.
I’m stealing that.
After reading that Obama didn’t inform the Brits for 16 hours, I’m with you on this. It’s a sick hoax perpetrated by our fascist-in-chief.
That's all well and good, but I was talking about how
Miller looks at nearly 63!
Above: Judith with Shep yesterday
She is in her 60’s? Damn. You go girl!
This smacks of rank amatuers. Not the alleged terrorists...the White House.
9/11 Commission Air Cargo Screening Mandate, Fake Terror and an October Surprise
News of suspicious packages arriving from Yemen plundered the country into a panicked state of fear Friday morning. Some are calling it a fake terror plot (see videos below) thanks to the Presidents remarks four days before the midterm election. Such an October surprise cannot be discounted entirely, but the point of this article is to chastise the Obama administration for dragging its feet on the 9/11 Commission air cargo screening mandate whether this particular scare today is a contrived fake terror plot or not.
Seeing the initial responses and faces of Zero and Fibbs, in their eyes I saw fear and neither had any idea of what to do next.
I dunno, but I sincerely doubt that the Democrats want the issue on people´s mind when they vote to be - of all things- Islamic terrorism.
Or has the economy gotten so bad that´s their new go-to issue? ;)
