In the immortal words of P.J. O’Rourke, this is a program that seriously needs the circumcision policy applied liberally (i.e., you can take 10% off the top of anything).

I agree with you and, because lefties can be so remarkably vindictive, I wonder if Juan actually had a normal reason to be treated by a psychologist/psychiatrist (you don’t have to actually be crazy and hey - it’s just part of medical plans to treat humans)and that she ‘used it’ against him when she had her little fit? No one thinks he’s crazy but what if he had in the past used company medical plan this way and she comes out with it here??? I mean, there’s no limit to the petty vindictiveness of an angry leftie.

"I never liked Juan's opinions, but I hope he sues NPR into oblivion."

In the old days when he was on NPR he would be one of the very few balanced reporters. I have never cared for him much on Fox as he spends most of his time towing the DNC party line. But I guarantee you this firing had as much to do, if not more, with his comments the other day on Special Reports panel discussing Germanys "failed multiculturalism".

TRANSCRIPT
"WILLIAMS: You know what; I think the Europeans have been hypocrites on this subject for a long time. They have been looking down on us and have always been critical of our attitudes about race in the United States. Now as we see globally people from the southern hemisphere moving more aggressively into northern areas. I think you see in Europe the numbers that present the problems. I think Angela Merkel, I don't know if she is running in New Hampshire or Colorado primary, but I will vote for her. Because she is exactly right. She’s exactly right when she says this is not about people living side-by-side, this whole mosaic model. It's got to be about assimilation. "Assimilation" should not be a dirty word. Learning the language of a country should not be dirty, abiding by the laws of the country should not be seen as extreme, that you are forcing me to be like you. You are in that country to succeed in that country. What would you say to your children? Learn the language, go to school, succeed. It’s unbelievable to me that people tolerated this for this long."

Tell me this doesn't have more to do with his firing........

I love it when hateful lefties start to drown in their own bile.

Some such journalists, like Roberts, are employed equally by both companies and therefore present no ethical problems.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever!

Certainly looks like NPR has a discrimination lawsuit coming their way. Has anyone sent this to RUSH, Dredge etc.?

Flashback: NPR Fires a Top Black Manager (NPR CEO hates black people...)
Maynard Institute ^ | 10/16/109 | Richard Prince

Posted on Thursday, October 21, 2010 3:39:22 PM by jimbo123

Less than 24 hours after hosting the National Association of Black Journalists at its headquarters in Washington, National Public Radio let go the black journalist in charge of its newscasts, Greg Peppers, one of two black men in newsroom management at the network.

Peppers, who has been with NPR since the 1980s, was escorted out of the building Friday, colleagues said. He was executive producer of NPR’s newscast unit.

Makes no sense to me either. Her problems seems to stem from hatred of FNC and AA’s, IMHO.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (Ohio), who could be House speaker next year, said that “it’s reasonable” to examine federal subsidies for NPR, which he called a “left-wing radio network.”

“We need to face facts – our government is broke,” Boehner told the conservative National Review. “Washington is borrowing 37 cents of every dollar it spends from our kids and grandkids. Given that, I think it’s reasonable to ask why Congress is spending taxpayers’ money to support a left-wing radio network – and in the wake of Juan Williams’ firing, it’s clearer than ever that’s what NPR is.”

Conservatives saw the Williams firing as a chance to drive a wedge issue by criticizing media outlets, such as NPR, which they say are too sympathetic to left-wing points of view.

But, but, but based on the lofty standards at NPR, shouldn’t Vivian be fired?
