I think the whole “stigma” of majoring in stuff like Womyn’s Studies or English Lit does not exist anymore and so kids do major in that sort of stuff and then have a hard time finding job with that as a B.A.
I also think a lot more kids are getting a Master’s degree right after their undergraduate degree and living w/mom and dad makes sense.
Back in the mid-80’s, I remember my dad saying “Why do you kids feel like you have to move out just because you’re out of college?” I guess he was ahead of his time.
Same with my Dad, since I was 12 he would say “6 more years and you’re moving out...period” and made a countdown every year. Once I left for college and got an off-campus job to pay (on my own) for rent and tuition, he was “well, it’s expensive nowadays, move in with us so you could save up”.;)
maybe because they want to be able to bring girls back to their place to play ;)
