Sen. Charles Schumer blasted Board of Elections officials Monday for blowing a deadline for sending ballots to troops overseas - putting their chance to vote at risk.
"Our troops sacrifice their lives to protect our freedoms. They should never, ever be denied the right to vote," Schumer said.
There are approximately 50,000 New York City residents serving overseas - and 320,000 statewide.
Elections officials were originally supposed to ship the ballots to troops by Sept. 17. Because New York primaries were held Sept. 14, the federal government granted local officials an extension until Oct. 1.

Every member of any elections board which fails to ship ballots in time spends 10 days in jail for each day the ballots are late.
Two years from now we will have ballots delivered on time...
This has been known about for some time, and now, when the delays have already hurt the soldiers voting opportunity, the liar Schumer seeks to pretend outrage, as if he really cared when caring could have put pressure before now. He’s a fraud.

Many of us here predicted that 2008 was the last (semi) legitimate election. 350,000 votes is no longer small time fraud. Anyone on this board that thinks a Republican in a Democrat area with a 5% lead in the polls has a chance of winning is smoking some boss weed.
The only thing missing in this campaign is a "Reischtag fire". But we do have 3 weeks left, plenty of time.

There is a good chance that this election will be a dry run for 2012. Obama’s only chance to win will be massive election fraud, and he has to find out how much the American people will tolerate. Expect more in the next 2 1/2 weeks.

Absolutely; there should be no excuses ever; one would think this to be at the top of the list as part of the honorable service experience for a free and open society.
What this does tell us is the political class is not interested in the importance service and the democratic process. Just want to state for the record that it isn’t just military ballots, although those are important. There are plenty of American civilians working for the DoD overseas, either as contractors or civilian employees. It’s quite possible the civilians outnumber the military, and many of the civilians are veterans or military retirees. So, I believe this is intentional vote suppression. Why? Because Democrats KNOW these votes are overwhelmingly Republican/conservative. That’s my two cents.
Someone needs to sue the state board of elections. Invalidate all the elections where the ballots weren’t counted.
This is absolutely a conspiracy by the left to invalidate the military and other overseas voters.

Every election night there is some judge that forces polling locations to stay open extra hours to let people vote...why can’t we find a judge to order that for the military ballots.
