TPM ^ | Oct 6, 2010

The new CNN/Time poll of the Nevada Senate race gives Republican nominee Sharron Angle a two-point advantage over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The numbers: Angle 42%, Reid 40%, and Tea Party candidate Scott Ashjian 7%. In a two-way race, Angle still leads Reid by 47%-45%. The survey of likely voters has a ±3.5% margin of error.

Admin Moderator, I posted it in Breaking News because this looked pretty important and I didn't see it posted anywhere else.

Wow.... He’s WAY under 50%. That would spell doom, but I’d like to see her ahead by at least 5 points in the polling going in, because I believe it’s going to be a very tough election. I don’t have a good feeling about this one. You have a ‘Tea Party’ candidate on the ballot, along with “None of The Above”. Those two could take votes that would otherwise go against Dingy Harry.

PS: Why in the hell would a state put “None of The Above” on a ballot anyway? That’s SO dammed stupid!

Reid 40%

For an incumbent Senator and his party's majority leader that is instant doom. Did they post the numbers on the Governor's race. If Reid's son is still being beaten by double digits than he is toast. I don't see a lot of vote splitting where they vote down the son for Governor and vote for the father for Senator. The top ticket race is going to help Angle lock this down.

But, but, Rachel Madcow told us this was going to be an easy race for Reid.

Tea Party dude needs to throw his support to Angle; this is one of the critical 4 toss-up Senate seats.

2 points are not NEARLY enough to overcome the Acorn/Dem voter fraud which will be beyond belief in this election!

There are a lot of bad signs for Reid. The faux Tea Party Candidate campaign manager quits and endorses Angle, Reid well below 50%, His son on the ballot (reinforces “career, family” politics”) and the trend that undecides will break against incumbents and RATS this cycle. JMO.

There are other factors at work here. If the GOP sweeps the East, as is likely, I expect the demoralization to suppress Dem turnout in the West. If we have a good night at the start, we could have large enough margins that all the cemeteries in NV won’t hold enough ACORN/SEIU voters to push Reid over the top.

Not sure I believe that Ashcan’s voters would split 50-50 if he wasn’t on the ballot and I really doube he’s pulling 7% unless there are that many ignorant Nevadans. I wouldn’t put much trust in these numbers. They don’t pass the smell test.

That’s interesting because I hadn’t heard of him ‘til now. I thought Sharon Angle was the only TP candidate.

Can’t believe with the state of Nevada’s economy Reid still polls so high. He must have delivered a lot of bacon.

The CNN/Time polls usually favor dimoKKKRATS. So Sharron is probably ahead more than shown.

challagned I'm inclined to agree.

I think the Rats will do anything short of public violence to steal the close ones. Many Republican wins of not more than 3-4% will be challenged and thousands of Dem ballots will be found in car trunks and closets.

Be interesting after all is said and done if someone researched and figured out the total number of "discovered" Dem ballots found *after* the election (nationwide total).
