Coons Flip-Flops on "Joe Biden's seat"
Chris Coons ^ | 09/17/2010 | Me

Posted on 09/17/2010 8:14:14 AM PDT by Spydergoo

From last night's debate performance with Christine O'Donnell: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/senate-races/119345-odonnell-coons-face-off-in-first-debate-for-standing-room-crowd

"Borrowing a line from Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Coons suggested the race would be fought on issues important to Delaware voters, rather than in the national media spotlight. “It’s often said that this is Joe Biden’s seat,” Coons said. “It’s not. It’s Delaware’s seat.”"

From Chris Coons' website: https://secure.democratsenators.org/o/59/donate_page/odonnell

“We cannot let Delaware’s Senate seat fall into ultraconservative hands – into the grasp of a candidate who is out of touch with our state and the challenges we face.”

BUT

From Chris Coons' website on September 15, 2010 at 3:20 pm

*********************************************************

With Christine O’Donnell, we face an ideology rather than a record. One of Sarah Palin’s newest “Mama Grizzlies,” O’Donnell will fight to roll back a woman’s right to choose and lead the charge against stem-cell research, falsely claiming that this ground breaking research exploits women. She has a record of supporting discrimination against gays and lesbians, and pressing for public schools to teach creationism.

Even more shocking is that despite the fact that she has no plan for putting Delawareans back to work and wants to open our coastlines to more dangerous off-shore drilling risks, she truly believes that she’s the right candidate for Delaware.

Make no mistake – Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, Michelle Bachman, and the Tea Party Express will invest to make sure O’Donnell joins them in Washington.

We cannot let Joe Biden’s seat fall into ultraconservative hands – into the grasp of a candidate who is out of touch with Delaware and the challenges we face.

Will you help us prepare for the fight for Delaware’s values by supporting Chris’ campaign today? *********************************************************

Really? Joe Biden’s seat?

Which is it Mr Coons? Is it Joe Biden's seat? Or is it Delaware's seat?

---a candidate who is out of touch with our state and the challenges we face.

Really? We got a president that is exactly like that and I deduct that Mr. Coons is not far removed from that condition.

He got out ahead of her on that one ... The Biden seat thing. But the stuff he mentioned as her faulty ideas were ideas I love.

The website doesn't say that now. Do you have the web archive version of this page? If so post the link here so we can download it before it gets scrubbed from history.

I’m looking for it now. I should have captured it. Instead, I immortalized the words on another blog at the time I saw it on the 15th. Any Freeper help with a screenshot?

FOX played a few scenes from the debate. The self avowed Marxist sounded like a conservative.

He mentioned self reliance. Now that is downright funny coming from a communist.

Coons finally started looking further ahead than the end of his nose. If it is the “Biden Seat,” he has to be concerned that the Bidens may some day want it back to give to Beau Biden. Coons has finally figured that out.

She actually has a fairly easy campaign strategy, if she's willing to follow it.

Just tell the Delaware voters, endlessly...

He will vote to keep Obamacare, I will vote to repeal it
He will vote for Cap and Trade, I will oppose it
He was in favor of the stimulus bill, I opposed it
He will vote to raise taxes and expand government, I will not

If this is what you want, for ylu and for your children, then please, vote for my opponent..

Joe Biden’s Seat.

The New Democratic Party logo is all about that.
