A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

“I’ve spent the majority of my professional life working for organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Global Health Corps—the organization I run—recently opened five offices in East/Southern Africa, hence my collection of beautiful African masks.”
That’s a shallow lifestyle.?

I’m so sorry everyone. I have no idea why the photos I’ve posted keep getting deleted. Maybe this is a copyright issue that Free Republic prohibits photos from certain photo agencies from being posted here. I’ll try to repost some of them here tomorrow this time through links. Hope you’ll understand. I apologize for this mess :(

"The moderator deleted them because apparently they were Getty Images which are not allowed on this site"

We had to remove your posts because the posts contained copyrighted photos originating from Associated Press, vogue.com, Getty Images, ajc.com, yahoo.com, Reuters, etc.

Associated Press, Corbis, vogue.com, Getty Images, agc.com, yahoo.com, Reuters and many more publishers have imposed copyright restrictions against Free Republic. Updated FR Excerpt and Link Only or Deny Posting List due to Copyright Complaints

The lack of a watermark has no bearing on whether a copyrighted photo can be posted on Free Republic. Copying and pasting a copyright restricted photo onto your personal imageshack account, or on any photo hosting site, also does not remove copyright restrictions.

We should all have stupid, useless African masks I guess.

Where does GHC get its funding? Why is it partnered with the Clinton Initiative?

Don’t you find it amazing that a child of a former President just happens to be able to amass the money to “create” something like that?

Political connections. An organization devoted to giving gravitas to political children or “emerging young leaders”.

Read the Wiki. This isn’t about the health of the poor in the third world. This is all about the carefully hand chosen “future leaders”.

BTW “Together with program partner Still Harbor, GHC has created an accompaniment program designed to provide emotional, spiritual, and mentor support for fellows particularly in their efforts to develop deeper awareness of self and others.”

That sounds very new agey

Hi everyone. Since all of the photos I posted here were deleted by the moderator last night because of FR’s strict copyright rules, I’ve posted many of the same pics from their original sources via links so please feel free to click on the links and save them for your own personal use. Enjoy!

First, on Sunday, November 17th, Pres. Bush and his father were the special guests at the Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans football game at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

On Tuesday, November 19th, Pres. Bush appeared on Jay Leno’s show and very generously gave the host a self portrait he painted. Laura also came out as a special guest on the show. I’d say Dubya did a fantastic job on Jay’s portrait, don’t you think? His artistic talents are really starting to shine and getting better as time goes on!

Vogue recently did a special online feature on GW’s daughter Barbara showcasing her townhouse she currently shares with her longtime friends Maggie Betts and Elliot Merck in the West Village neighborhood of New York City. Her townhouse is simply gorgeous. She really got creative by decorating her place with various furniture, artwork and special mementos that not only reflects her personality and the places she’s traveled to but also made her home that feels cozy, warm, inviting, and down-to-earth that would make her friends, family, or guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

Since Vogue.com cannot be posted here, I’ve posted a link to another blog site that has the same photos of Barbara and her townhouse. I highly doubt what she does for her non-profit organization to help save the lives of women and children in Africa are considered to be “shallow” and selfish! She has the right to choose to live wherever she wants in her personal life, just my opinion!

On Saturday, November 23rd in NYC, Barbara and Jenna attended the Sotheby’s auction gala event to benefit the RED organization which helps to raise money for AIDS research and educate the public about the disease. Seems like Jenna has shed a lot of that weight after she gave birth to her child this past spring. Both girls looked very stylish and pretty as always.

pattyvita, this is a Herculean task you have taken on to share these marvelous photos with us. You are very resourceful in working around the rules that must be in place for the protection of Free Republic so that we may all benefit from the effort you put into this project. So far I’ve only had a chance to see Barbara’s exquisite townhouse but it’s such a relief to have this connection to the family of a very humble, real man we were honored to have as our President for 8 years. He’s still our President.

I don’t think any novelist could have conjured up an “emptier”(??) man to be our leader. Absolutely everything is just about him—he’s the only one he cares about and constantly praises. There’s no humility, no humanity no anything—just a robot looking in a mirror. These are very frightening times for our country and its future, and just terrifying for our children and grandchildren and all those who will come after us. There is no there there.

Bless you for keeping our spirits up with these delightful photos.

Happy New Year fellow Bush fans and longtime followers of the Dose! Ever since I’ve gotten the stern warning not to post copyrighted pics from photo agencies here, I can now only post those via links. President and Laura Bush have done quite a lot last month and they are currently enjoying their annual winter vacation in Boca Grande, Florida. Here some of the recent pics of the Bushes I found via Facebook and Instagram.

These are some pics taken at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service on December 10, 2013. I made sure not to include images that featured the Clintons or the Obummers as they were a nuisance and a distraction at the memorial anyway! :)

just walking next to George W Bush, you know.... the usual.

8:48 AM - 4 Jan 14

This pic was taken by a visitor at the Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, FL yesterday where GW, Laura and some of the Bush family members were staying. Pres. Bush is in the grey sweater and yellow slacks. I wish this was a much clearer pic; this was clearly taken from a camera phone. I guess the girl was nervous and took the photo quickly so that she wouldn’t get into with the Secret Service and take her phone away. Hopefully I’ll find much better quality pics of GW on vacation in the coming days and weeks!
