The man, wearing ear protectors, killed six members of a family before being cornered by police and staging a bloody last stand.
He fired indiscriminately - his seventh victim a woman who came to her balcony after hearing shots on the estate in Slovakian capital Bratislava.
The maniac, thought to be in his 50s, then turned the gun on himself.
