I don't know how Freepers have received a letter from the United States Department of Commerce relating to the American Community Survey but my neighbor did and was appalled at the questions.
It is fourteen pages long and one of the most intrusive invasions on Privacy Rights I have ever seen.

I have researched some of reply’s of folks who have already received the questionnaire. When they have refused to complete the form, they are first hounded by telephone then relentless and belligerent personal visits at their door.
If they don’t answer the door, they post messages on their door, demanding under penalty of law, they complete the form.

Perhaps you missed this but on 20 January, 2009, our Constitution and subsequent amendments ceased to be operative.

The social contract between the government and the governed officially died with passage of the Health Takeover.
The Constitution was circumvented and ignored, therefore there is no longer any valid Federal government, period.
Arguably, civic duty may have died with the flubbed swearing-in of an illegal alien as President who got there with the collusive assistance of a treasonous Congressional bureaucracy. But whatever the actual date of dissolution of the social contract, its contractual authority is well and truly buried in the past.
The government is in flagrant violation of its Constitutional contract, and therefore the terms of the contractual obligations by the other party (us) are null and void. Nobody owes the Federal political infrastructure anything, financial or logistical, with the possible exception of substantial redress.
