Sherrod not sure she would go back to Ag Dept (USDA re-thinking decision)
Associated Press ^ | misc

The woman at the center of a racially tinged firestorm involving the Obama administration and the NAACP said Wednesday she doesn't know if she'd return to her job at the Agriculture Department, even if asked.

"I am just not sure how I would be treated there," Shirley Sherrod said in a nationally broadcast interview. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Wednesday he would reconsider the department's decision to oust Sherrod over her comments that she didn't give a white farmer as much help as she could have 24 years ago.

She said later in a broadcast interview that she might consider returning if she had the chance, saying she's received encouraging calls, including one from the NAACP.

The White House called the Agriculture Department Tuesday night after more information about Sherrod's remarks emerged, a White House official said. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the call, said the White House and the department agreed that the case should be reviewed based on the new evidence.

Tragedy being repeated as farce. Is it repeats season yet?

Maybe she’s mulling a lawsuit.

My thought exactly. She’s been involved in suits against the government before.

“She knows there is more to come.”

Yes, she might have to explain how she received $13M cool ones from USDA while working for the AG Dept that oversees USDA. I’m very sure there is an honest and reasonable answer on how “not for profit” lawyers end up becoming millionaires from pay outs by Fed Depts that they later work for. Its clearly racist of me to wonder such a thing. Maybe she can find some help from her own people on this issue?

She has nothing to worry about. When the media stops covering this she will quietly get a high-paying job in the race industry, and she will be able to practice her hatred as before.

I wonder how many times she's given the same story in a speech.

This "reconsideration" shows that the firing was based on half-baked information. I hope she makes a big stink.

She is a racist. So is the NAACP. So is the Obama administration. So is the Democrat Party.

This whole episode is bizarre. I do, however, fully support Breitbart. On mere innuendo, the left smears conservatives of whatever ill they want. In this case, it happened to a liberal, and now the left has egg on their face. Their knee-jerk reaction got them in this problem.

I support him too, GO ANDREW . . .the left falsifies accusations against good decent Americans, lies their asses off . . . only as a divisive ploy to try to smear people who give a damn about this great country.

All for their childish, selfish political reasons. They are disgusting slobs and AB helped to expose them for the scumbags we know them to be.

racist race pimp Jesse Jackson is involved, calling for Obama admin. to “apologize” to Sherrod

wow, Jesse thinks this matter is “worse” than Cambridge cop issue, which (of course) he still thinks was a racist white cop properly chastised by Obozo

and in this case, obviously, Jesse says that Sherrod is the aggrieved party, not the public which has been fleeced by these scam artists for years

So is the Democrat Party

I would say that you're incorrect in this. The Democrats are using racism, but the party itself is not racist. Anti-white racism is a tool that they use.......frequently.

Think of it. When they say that profiling is involved, the assumption is that the "target" of the profiling is some group other than whites; the persons doing the targeting ARE white. Have you ever heard the words "racial profiling" and thought that whites were the targets?

We celebrate MLKing's birthday as a holiday. He said that we should judge a man by his character, not the color of his skin. But the government employs affirmative action, which is the opposite philosophy.

Therefore, the government should choose between these two:
1. Repeal Affirmative Action
2. Abolish the MLK Holiday and all Government references to his name.

Of course, if you're anti-white, you can sit and do nothing.

You know, after all of this is written, you may be right. You convinced me to convince myself. Asking the government to treat all races equally is now racism; it's pathetic.

“...the White House and the department agreed that the case should be reviewed based on the new evidence.”

How about investigating, and having all the evidence first, before you even make a decision.

Being somewhat involved in Ag every piece of paper the USDA send me warns me starkly that white men are the lowest of the low and that discrimination in favor of everyone else is to be encouraged. Sherrod is one degree seperated from official policy.

I agree. It also helps Breitbart make the point he originally intended to: NAACP is inherently racist.
