Dozens of people witnessed the event, and many disagree on whether Scott pulled a gun and aimed it at officers, as police have alleged. The Review-Journal has interviewed six witnesses. Two claim to have seen Scott pull out a gun, and one of the two said it was in a holster.
Investigators have interviewed more than 40 witnesses, including more than a dozen who said they saw Scott with the gun in his hand and out of his waistband, Neville said.
Witnesses have also disagreed on what they heard police order Scott to do. Some heard, "Get on the ground," while others heard "Drop it," or "Get down."
It appears that the police will so muddy the water that they’ll get away with having killed this man.

The police were just doing their jobs; following standard procedure. There is no record of a policeman violating a citizen.

They'll just tell us what it says instead.
Investigators hope to review store surveillance video, but Neville said he didn't know whether any video of the shooting existed.
How many days after the fact and they still don't know if there is video?
Not enough info for an informed opinion, but that won’t stop either the cop-haters or the cop-lovers.

The lawsuits are going to fly over this one.
I’m confused...why would one call 911 if the police are already there?
And another one here.

The cops are just running around and shooting at people.
It’s a shame that the video tapes were damaged by swamp gas.

Costco Shooting: More Info / Update
... anymore. I find it hard to believe that this store isn't covered with video cameras to suppress shoplifting. If they aren't sure about a tape, it is most likely because the tape has been suppressed, or there is a problem (not so far identified) with the recording system. I'm often sympathetic to the police, but this one sounds really bad. Mr. Scott sounds squeaky clean.
