Yea...I thought of that too but thoughts of Pelosi next in Line makes me shudder and throw up. We oddly need Biden in the fray.

He gets to pick. He picks Hillary to make the ticket stronger in 2012. He also neutralizes her,at least he hopes, from running against him.

He is Effing off...at a BBQ

Vice President Joe Biden is in Iraq today for meetings with the troops, their commanders, and Iraqi government officials. In particular, Biden plans to meet with the top candidates in Iraq’s very tight race for prime minister.

President Obama, back from a brief trip to Camp David, welcomes military families to the White House tonight to eat barbecue and watch the annual Washington fireworks show.

Meanwhile, newly confirmed Afghanistan commander David Petraeus is in Kabul today to formally take command on the forces there. “We are in this to win,” Petraeus told U.S., NATO and Afghanistan officials. He also said: “This is a tough mission. There is nothing easy about it.”

In Ramadi, a woman slipped through four checkpoints at the governor's compound...

Oh, that's going to open a can of worms. Either somebody's in big trouble or that's a case of infiltration in the ISF ranks.

"...rockets red glare, and bombs bursting in air...gave proof through the night, that our Flag was STILL THERE!!!!"

Interestingly, those rockets that the British were firing during this period of the "War of 1812" were acquired in India in 1799 when the British beat the Tipu Sultan. The British didn't have that technology at that point.

And Pockeeestahn!

I cringe when he says that. Of course, I cringe when he says almost anything. ;-)

Hey, hope you are well! Did Biden ask why they couldn’t just say something nice?

Hope everyone, including Joe, is OK.

What we have in Iraq is sand.

Our BBQ this afternoon was held during a low-level sand/dust storm.

Hey, it kept the temperatures down. Gotta love it.

Do they have empty weapons, too?

Where is doofus boy?

It is a sad state of affairs for our nation when anyone reading this instantly knows you are talking about the president, the commander in chief.
