Sarah Palin: Let’s shake it up in California! (Sarah endorses Carly Fiorina - Huh?)
Facebook ^ | Sarah Palin

Posted on 05/06/2010 12:29:51 PM PDT by FightforFreedomCA

I’d like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.

Her name is Carly Fiorina, and I’m proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California’s liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid “Big Government” agenda.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.

California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her “Reagan Conservative” values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Let’s help Carly do it!

Great, then lets just replace a devout leftist with a devout RINO. Translated that means we make no change at all.

Once again we’ll have Republican(D) for six years. And in six years you’ll be back to work your magic again. Tell me again why we fear Democrats?

With folks thinking as you do, the Democrats can sit at home and laugh their arses off.

Did you vote for McCain in 2008

I voted for Sarah Palin, and some other old guy who was on the ticket with her.

Awwwwwwwwww, did she lose you as a supporter..I bet she’s crushed

Stay classy. Let me inform all of you out there who defend this decision by Sarah by stating, "Carly's the only one who can beat Boxer...in blue states, I'll take a RINO if they can beat Boxer...yada, yada, yada."

Here are some facts for ya:

Rasmussen (April 12)

Carly Fiorina (R) 38%

Barbara Boxer (D) 42%

***

Chuck DeVore (R) 39%

Barbara Boxer (D) 42%

Want to know the problem with the Republican party? Here’s how to find out in two easy steps:

1. Go to the bathroom
2. Look in the mirror.

There you have it.

Rasmussen 4/14/10
How each of the Republican candidates would fare against Boxer

Election 2010: California Senate
Carly Fiorina (R) 38%
Barbara Boxer (D)42%
Some other candidate 7%
Not Sure 13%

Election 2010: California Senate
Chuck DeVore (R) 39%
Barbara Boxer (D)42%
Some other candidate 8%
Not Sure 12%

Election 2010: California Senate

Tom Campbell (R) 41%
Barbara Boxer (D)43%
Some other candidate 6%
Not Sure 10%

Point is that Sarah isn’t even choosing the most likely winner when she’s rejecting DeVore. She’s actually choosing the biggest Republican loser candidate by backing Fiorina. The good news is that Sarah doesn’t have as much sway with Californians, although a few points won or lost here could make all the difference in the election.

Between DeVore and Fiorina..I DEVORE Wins by a mile. I’d pick him over her anyday. It all depends who wins the primary.

Your poll seems to be an outlier.

Considering Fiorina's funding and only weeks left to spend that money, it looks like Palin is making a desperate attempt to stop Tom Campbell.

She is a rino period. At one point her buddy Juan McCain got lots
of press as well.

“A self-made woman, she started her business career as a secretary and went on to become the first, and to date, the only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company.”

That’s enough for me.

Remind me to always use land or air-based shipping. :-)

That said, I’m a bit disappointed in this news. Carly’s a RINO at best, which is about 2 clicks shy of a liberal. Not good.

You failed to be reasonable with any person on this thread who opposed her decision. With ambassadors like you, she has zero chance.

And as she exposes herself to be a stone-cold RINO, I now say ... GOOD.

No, you assumed that what I meant is I'd rather have Boxer in the Senate. What I said was that RINO is liberal. RINOs don't excite me, be it Brown, Insane McCain, Grahamnesty, Snowe, Collins, Spector (oh, that's right, he went ahead and made it official), Voinovich, Crist, etc. Fiorina will be just another RINO senator, killing us slowly with poison, as opposed to the bullet in the head that the 'Rats have planned for us.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

While I don't care for Sarah's endorsement of Carly, let's not forget that every single leading contender for the GOP slot in 2010 has endorsed a RINO at one time or another.

Like it or not, its reality.

That said, a true conservative will vote for the appropriate choice by what they stand for, NOT who has endorsed them.

Oh so the state of the GOP is MY fault. Nice, good to know that. By the way, Im NOT a Republican. I vote Republican yes but Im not one. I vote Conservative. And I think Sarah should have stayed OUT of this race. I’m not a fan of Fiorina either. Don’t like her..I would have loved for her to endorse DeVore but at the end, she can endorse whoever the hell she wants to, it doesn’t effect who I vote for

I'm just curious, if, say Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty endorsed Fiorina would people here be giving them a pass? Saying it makes sense because she's the most electable?

Sarah's just getting the same treatment anyone else would get. That's only fair.
