Sarah Palin: Let’s shake it up in California! (Sarah endorses Carly Fiorina - Huh?)
Facebook ^ | Sarah Palin

Posted on 05/06/2010 12:29:51 PM PDT by FightforFreedomCA

I’d like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.

Her name is Carly Fiorina, and I’m proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California’s liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid “Big Government” agenda.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.

California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her “Reagan Conservative” values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Let’s help Carly do it!

I would urge you to ask the MIA Familes and Veterans groups if they think they can work with a RINO like McCain. And then realize that Fiorina will be another John McCain.

If we were talking about the November election, I could see some reason behind your support of Palin’s endorsement here. Sadly, this is not the general election, but the time when we get to loft the best person for the job.

What the hell is Palin thinking?

As for Californians being Conservative or not, you’re incredibly off base. The only problem here is that we haven’t had Conservative ideals heralded in a well financed political campaign in at least twenty years.

Some of the candidates Sarah discarded to back Fiorina, are just the people to do it. Honest to God folks, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

Why didn’t the gay marriage amendment pass a few years back? Because less than half of Californian’s are Conservative?

Otherwise nothing is EVER going to change.

I disagree. Putting up people who represent such a drastic change that the blue, government dependent areas who have no idea how they will get by without the Gov't will dig in there heels and stay solid blue.

Most people fear that drastic of a change. Look at how people who voted for change are now rejecting it - many because the rate of change is scaring them.

Hey I’m a big supporter of hers and I believe she should have stayed out of this race. All of the candidates are bad(Except for DeVore but I don’t think he stands a chance here) I never liked her endorsement of McCain but you know what, she makes whatever choices she wants to make and I’m fine with that. I go with who I want to support, I don’t care who makes the endorsement

We are trying to get rid of Boxer here, and for the ones that are upset with Sarah’s endorsement of Fiorina, GET OVER IT. I bet half the ones who are upset don’t even live in CA or dont like her to begin with

I like Sarah, I live in CA, but I do not like the endorsement. Again, I get the whole "just someone who can beat Boxer" thing, I just feel that it goes in the face of her generally consistent (cough..McCain) backing of REAL conservative candidates. Her endorsement could have brought national attention to Chuck's campaign.

Anotherwords Duncan Hunter, Jim DeMint or someone else with about as much chance as I have. Ever notice that Governor Palin gets almost as much press (most negative, of course) as Lord Obama? There’s a reason for that! Whom they attack, they fear. They don’t fear Senator DeMint, Rep. Hunter or the RINOs like Gov. Romney.

Did you vote for McCain in 2008 or did you vote for Obama..if you voted for McCain, what was your excuse..the lesser of two evils right..so there, that totally takes away your argument. Its California, unfortunately it is what it is here and its not going to change. We got Arnold, and whoever we get next we just have to live with it. If DeVore has a good chance at winning I will vote for him. I really like him but I just don’t think he has a chance of winning, unless he does really well in the primary, will have to wait and see

You got to understand the landscape and the culture has changed. I am not asking you to change, but just to let you know what we are up against.....

Junior High kids told me yesterday a girl in their school was sent home because she was caring a bible and refused to give it to the teacher.

5 kids were sent home in California for wearing a U.S. Flag t-shirt.

Franklin Graham was uninvited to a Prayer Breakfast.

It is a get down on your knees and pray moment....

If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray. This is what God tells us to do.....

my suggestion for the future...look at your kids or Grandkids...invest in their lives....teach them about our Constitution...invest in a good education...teach them the art of debate...not to argue..but so they will know what they believe and can answer well....THIS IS OUR FUTURE...THIS IS OUR ONLY HOPE. Our churches are full of kids dying....spiriturally because parents dont fight the good fight.

I say this with all love for fellow believers and fellow lovers of this Great country

I do not think these endorsements mean much in a primary...If Sarah goes and raises 500,000 then it might make a difference..

While I definitely disagree with her assessment of the race, I believe her rationale is as follows. DeVore has not been able to gain traction and raise serious money and the primary is only one month away. She sees Campbell pulling away in the polls and realizes that the only way to stop him is by supporting Fiorina who although is a RINO, she is not a jihadist nut like campbell.

With that said, I am deeply disappointed with her because had she endorsed DeVore she would have given him a chance to get on the map and have Fiorina and Campbell split the RINO vote.

I'll take Carly over Barbara Boxer ANY day.

The question presented by this primary is, do you prefer Carly over Devore? Well, do you?

I'm disappointed in Sarah Palin. She should wait until after the primary is over, unless the conservative is so far back he has no chance. I think Devore is not completely out of it, and deserved support. Now, it may be a self-fulfilling prophesy when he loses by a lot, whereas a timely endorsement might have given him a chance.
