Report: Syria, Hizbullah On Full Alert

The Kuwaiti anti-Syrian daily Al-Siyassa reports on a full general alert in the Syrian military across the country, and also among Hizbullah fighters in southern Lebanon, Beq'a, and Dahiya.

The alert is due to fear of attack by Israel, against the backdrop of claims that Syria has transferred Scud missiles to Hizbullah.

Syria is pretty hard to get english translated news out of. Most of the Syrian stuff I read is either thru the Kuwaiti or Lebanese press. If anything significant was happening - like reserves called up or heavy volumns of military traffic spotted in Damascus or on the highways, it would be tough to hide for very long.

Not sure what a “general alert for the military across the whole country” means. Are reserves being called up? Are troops leaving barraks and moving to forward deployed positions?

If this gets hot they are going to need all the tricks they can get. Iran, Syria and Lebanon have them badly outnumbered and nearly surrounded. But most importantly they are very alone. There will be no emergency airlifts of ammunition from the US like there was in 1973. And China and Russia will ship the Syrians and Iranians anything they need. Lebanon and Syria might be screwed but Israel can't get at Iran easily. So if they can take the hammering for a few day they can simply fight with the plan of exhausting Israel's supply of ammo before they exhaust their supply of jihadists

Could tea party people be mobilized to help Israel? What can be done?

Please thank your husband for his service.
I cannot put into words what I feel about that person in the White House.
My son is in his 11th year of service. 3rd deployment with 4 children at home.
Situations like this make me sick. Besides my son, the way they have treated Israel in this is sickening.
