You're engaging in left-wing politics. That's what the leftists do: They find a picture of a supporter that is whacked-out (such as some of the Tea Party fringe that don't represent us all) and then post them as the norm. Ron Paul has a huge following of all types of people, as does Palin, Romney, Bush, et al.

But, once again, Paul probably isn't running for president in 2012, so big government conservatives and libtards can rest easy unless Rand Paul decides to.

“This vote means the voters are morons.”

Or likethe last poll at some Repub conference were RP won, it means only a handful of people voted and most of them were very young “bloggers”.

These polls are totally worthless to jusde best Rebub canidate for 012.

I just briefly looked at that sorry thread.
If he said “follow me off the cliff, you’ll bounce all the way back up,” I think those posters would.

The CPAC poll has always been a major one and this one is considered major because it's the first of the year outside of the beltway. Also, the south is one the most GOP friendly section of the country anymore - if not THE friendliest with the midwest/west going leftward for years now.

The CPAC Poll, along with this poll ceased being major once Myth Romney and Ron "I'm a Nutjob" Paul started buying votes.

As usual, Ron Paul supporters have no class and no ethics, just like their guy who attaches pork to bills he knows will pass and then votes against them.

And you have the gall to talk about constitutionality.

You and him should be ashamed!

Some people are on that thread defending Ron Paul.

Yes, I was quite curious as to how they were going to do that when I first saw the thread, but like good little cultists, they gulped their Koolaid and complied.

Who was the last president who was elected with a seat in the house as his highest previous position?

I don't know the answer to that one. I won't discount a solid, level-headed conservative just because they are in the House, though. They may have experience in the real world (i.e., running a business) that a lot of long-time politicians lack (obviously).

Besides, looking higher up on the ladder proves that electoral hierarchy in politics as a basis for experience is no indicator of quality. After all, the last election was between three Senators (Obama, McCain & Clinton), none of whom I'd trust to feed my cat.

Seriously?!?!? The dude endorsed Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin! Constitutionalists my ass. Nutjob lib is more like it.

That's another half truth, which seems to be the norm lately for Palin-bots that take pages from the Obama's playbook. Here's the real story:

by Sarah Foster September 23, 2008 © 2008 NewsWithViews.com

After months of refusing to endorse any candidate in November's presidential election race, Congressman Ron Paul—who ran a hard race for the GOP nomination—announced Monday afternoon in a press statement that he was supporting Constitution Party nominee Rev. Chuck Baldwin.

Baldwin, a minister at Crossroads Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla., and a syndicated columnist, could not be reached for comment, but Frank Fluckiger, the Constitution Party's Western States Area Chairman, told NewsWithViews.com that he and other party officials had "no idea" that Paul had actually decided to endorse their candidate.

"Of course, we are thrilled. It will be a real boost to our party and membership," he said. "It was wonderful for Congressman Paul to do this."

The Baldwin campaign had approached Paul for his endorsement, as had the Libertarian Party and the GOP—with former senator Phil Gramm making the pitch for Paul to endorse Sen. John McCain. But Paul repeatedly refused.

The surprise announcement came less than two weeks after the Texas Republican had hosted a Third-Party Unity Conference at the National Press Club in Washington, under the auspices of Paul's new project, the Campaign for Liberty. At the event Paul called on voters to reject the two major political parties and vote for one of the third-party candidates with him that day.

Joining him at the podium were Chuck Baldwin, Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader, Independent.

Paul's intention was to focus voters on the idea that there are other parties out there and other candidates than simply the "big two." That's why he hosted the press conference and invited all the third party candidates. All of them.

But one third-party candidate was a no-show: Bob Barr, a former congressman from Georgia, now the Libertarian Party's presidential candidate for the November election.

Not that Barr hadn't been invited. Not only had he been invited, he had accepted. Then moments before the conference was scheduled to begin he sent word that he would not be attending, saying it would be "a waste of time." Worse, Barr had scheduled a press conference of his own to begin a couple of hours following Ron Paul's event.

I’m surprised at the shallowness of the opinions expressed here. Gingrich gives good speeches and has interesting ideas (but in truth is a sell out)? Palin? What is in her head beyond the usual “moderate” political bromides (admittedly, we coul;d do worse)? Romney? Fortunately, no one is posting about his masterful record as Governor of MA.

Instead we have lots of FREEPERs taking pot shots at the only candidate who takes the Constitution seriously. No one else even comes close. If that means he isn’t a conservative, what is a conservative, and what are we conserving? The welfare/warfare state?

I agree that Paul is not likely to get the 2012 nomination, but he has been campaigning, not because he thinks he is going to occupy the Whitehut, but because he is building a movement that might help return the country to lawful government. For this he gets flamed?

Of course he didn’t spend the money Romney did. In fact, Palin probably has spent more money than he has.

That’s simply bs. While I disagree with many of his positions, he is the only repub who is speaking out correctly on the economic issues.

I don’t have to agree with someone on every issue, but on balance, especially compared to the typical rino gop countryclub hack, ron paul gets a ton of things right.
