i can’t believe Gingrich would run, or be a serious candidate.
I don’t know if Palin will run or not, but we better be prepared for her NOT to run, so we don’t end up like 2008 with conservatives splitting up our support across three different candidates, allowing McCain to win.
I can think of reasons Palin might choose to wait, including that she is making lots of money and enjoying her position as a populist speaker, or that she loves her son and wouldn’t want to lose two years of her life with him in a full-time campaign for the Presidency.
I don’t see the resignation as killing her chances, although having the extra experience as Governor would have helped, if she had been able to get that and still had the time to do what she is doing now, which obviously she wouldn’t have been able to do.
Palin would actually be better off if Obama moved to the center and became popular again — if it didn’t seem likely Obama could be beaten in 2012, she’d be ready to run in 2016, against whoever knocked off Biden for the Democratic ticket (I can’t imagine a world in which Biden was able to win a Democratic nomination for President).
“......if Obama moved to the center and became popular again.....”
After his communist “healthcare” takeover and hundreds of other outrages, it’s too late for Hussein. A leopard doesn’t change his spots.
Obama is a far-left Marxist and his moving to the center would be about as likely as a flying saucer landing on the White House lawn this afternoon.
