Rand believes America can fight terrorism and maintain its moral integrity without resorting to offshore prison camps, “prolonged detention”, and other, highly questionable legal measures.

We've had "prolonged detention" in every war. They are called "Prisoners of War". The problem with this war is that we are fighting organizations and ideology instead of nation-states which the laws of war (such as the Geneva Conventions) presume. Thus captives are not considered legal combatants according to the laws of war, but they can't really be considered common criminals either. Thus they fall into a legal gray area. Even if we counted them as Prisoners of War, they wouldn't be going back home for a long time because the war is going to last a long time.

Eh, I don't think he truly understands the concept of enemy combatants. By us abiding the Geneva Convention we are maintaining the our "moral integrity" and "Rule of Law."

That being said, I wish posters here would use the hate they have for the Paul's towards who truly deserves it, Zero and the democratic party.

Technically no, but considering that this is asymetric warfare I assume that the legal definitions change.

When it comes to understanding the threat we face, it looks like the boy has the same stupid streak as his father.

Gitmo is sort of like democracy. It’s a really crappy option, except compared to all the other options available. I think Barry has proven this.

Heard Sarah’s original comment sometime back but since she has not mentioned support and does not have any events schedule for him.
Rand has bounced around with his views and now obvious where he really stands. From the planet Ronulan.

Steve Forbes originally supported him but also soon after haven’t heard a thing.

He's out and ineligible for GOP or Tea Party support.

Another enemy of the state.

Rand “Dr. Strangelove” Paul just can’t keep his arm from making that salute, can he?

This is why you don’t give a 6-year Senate seat to somebody who has no legislative or executive record.

Well, this makes it easy. I was wondering if I should take him seriously after Palin mentioned him.

This helps to clarify things. The answer is, no. He's as unserious as his dad.

Guantanamo has significantly damaged the reputation of the United States

No, it hasn't. The press monkeys who lie about it have damaged our reputation, as well as the politicians who likewise lied about it. You'll notice that the Might O keeps delaying its closure because.... drum roll... its the best solution to a serious problem. If Rand were the responsible person in charge, he'd find just what others have found. If you didn't have Guantanamo you'd have to establish it. And your political enemies are going to may hay regardless. If it wasn't one thing, it will be another. It doesn't have to be true and with Leftists it usually isn't.

even going so far as to say (in other articles) that it has been a powerful recruiting tool for Islamic terrorists.

No, sorry. The jihadis were recruiting long before Guantanamo. Remember 911? Remember World Trade Center Chapter 1?

Rand couldn’t agree more.

Enough said.

Where’s all the Paulites? Oh yeah, they’re spending all their time trying to rally everyone against Palin.

Yep.

You keep posting that, except when you have tried stronger language until called on it, although you did not answer to the post.

Sarah Palin and Steve Forbes formally endorsed Rand Paul, he has made up a 30 point deficit with the moderate Romney man, Trey Grayson, Paul now has a very solid lead over the guy that endorsed Romney and in turn has been endorsed by Cheney, who's daughter works for Romney and who's wife supports Romney.

With the comfort that Rand Paul has in the statewide race over his moderate opponent and the Democrat challengers, there has been no need for Palin or Steve Forbes to revisit the campaign, although she has reaffirmed her endorsement on Fox news.

That or they are down in their parents basements eating Papa Johns pizza, drink Red Bull, smoking herb and playing World of Warcraft.
