Romney: GOP's 2012 nominee must be Reaganesque
The Washington Times ^ | 8 March 2010 | Joseph Weber

Republican leader Mitt Romney said Monday the GOP nominee in the 2012 presidential election will have to bring together divided factions of the party.

"Whoever becomes the nominee of our party needs to be, as Ronald Reagan was, a big-top Republican welcoming conservatives of all types in our party," he said during an interview with The Washington Times' "America's Morning News" radio show.

Romney on Letterman (choosing the same night as Gov. Palin
after Letterman attacked Gov. Palin’s daughters!):

Romney (D, shapeshifter): "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

(Backstabber Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn’t make any sense at all.""

--  President Ronald Reagan

I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform.
"
(Flip-flop chameleon artiste and carpetbagger Mitt Romney
Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."

--  President Ronald Reagan

If McRomney or Huckapoo is the GOP’12 nominee, Hopey/Changey wins by a landslide.

Mitt Romney: "I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I'm not trying to return to Reagan-Bush."

Mitt Romney: "I'm not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses."

I’ve been telling people this for a while now, because a lot of even my friends who call themselves conservatives seem to think that Romney will not only get nominated but win in ‘12. Sometimes I wonder if I’m even living on earth.

Notice how Romney uses the word ‘conservative’ for anyone who might be vaguely Republican. He’s been doing this regularly and, I’m sure, consciously of late.

A big top? What is this? A clown show.
