This is why G. W. Bush's plan for Federal aid to "faith-based" charities was such a stupid (or deliberately subversive) idea. It gave the govt. an opening to control one of the last vestiges of free, independent, and virtuous behavior in this country: Christian charities. Couldn't W and his gang see that eventually the Left would use this to destroy religious freedom?
It's almost like having the Tea Party movement become a recipient of Federal aid, or (slightly less dangerous) making it a subsidiary of the Republican Party.

The government, the dirty old man with the bag of candy, knows that an appetite for funding is like children and their fondness for sweets. Not unlike that dirty old man, the government has evil ulterior motives. Why the private sector is suckered in by them is beyond me.
One of my granddaughters graduated from a Lutheran college. The main speaker at graduation was a woman campaigning for those graduates to seek employment with the State Department. It took place on Memorial Day weekend, and not a word recognizing the lives given for our freedom was said, nor was a prayer given. Needless to say, that granddaughter is now a sweet little Marxist.

I have no use for west-coast states anymore. They’re a lost cause.

If you check the history of this bill, you will discover one of the co-sponsors who also voted for it twice is none other than current candidate for Washington's 3rd Congressional District to replace retiring Brian Baird, “Republican” Jaime Herrera.
This bill will do nothing more than facilitate SEIU and draw money to them to potentially donate to Democrats.
