Does Obama have a drinking problem?
The Right Scoop ^ | 3-1-10 | Glen Beck

Posted on 03/01/2010 12:07:44 PM PST by Brookhaven

Glenn Beck was reading through the recent medical release from Obama’s physical and found the following:

“Continue smoking cessation efforts, a daily exercise program, healthy diet, moderation in alcohol intake, periodic dental care, and remain up-to-date with recommended immunizations”

I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure there is ever an appropriate time for the President to ever be consuming alcohol in any significant amount while in office. Yes, even if he is on vacation, an emergency can happen at any time and he must be at his best at all times. What this suggests is that he is drinking too much, unless I am reading it wrong. Let’s hope I am and let’s hope the press will inquire about this.

The press is all over the smoking stuff, but seems to be pretty quiet about the drinking (too quite, imho).

One can only hope.

But - thought one had to have a mental age of 21 to drink.

Oops, forgot...it’s only the physical age.

Barky can’t handle the pressure. He will be a full blown alcoholic by the time his term is up.

Hey what is the point of winning all that power if you can’t get weeweed up from time to time?

Sorry, but as much as I have a problem with him, I read this as advice to continue with moderation in alcohol consumption. Let’s focus on the fact that he’s deliberately destroying our economy.

Obama is a puppet. He could be stone cold drunk, and as long as he can read the prompter, he’s as functional as he’ll ever be.

It stands to reason that a doctor will not tell a patient to stop smoking if they don’t smoke.

The doctor told Obama to stop smoking because he smokes.

Given that, it is rather odd that the doctor would tell Obama to drink in moderation if he already was.

Where are you getting a drinking problem out of this? Because the doctors suggest moderate drinking doesn’t mean he isn’t already doing so. I assume he exercises and goes to the dentist as well.

I don't know if Obama has a drinking problem and I certainly don't want to start false rumors, but it certainly would explain the poor judgment in picking Joe Biden as a running mate. .

Sorry -- this isn't a recommendation for Obama to cut down on his drinking, nor is it a hint that he drinks too much.

Just another tempest in a teapot, stirred by pundits who would rather shout than think.

That list is just standard doctor-ese; I think probably everybody who's had a physical has been given a similar list of things to do.

I read medical reports frequently in my work, and it is not uncommon for a summary to be used similar to what was written for 0bama. I think it just acknowledges he uses alcohol in moderation. Just as he apparently exercises, etc. I sort of think you are reading too much into it.

I think you might be seeing too much in the statement "moderation is alcohol consumption". . .I don't think it is suggesting that it is too high and needs to be reduced. . it is just issuing an advisory that it should not exceed the level of moderate alcohol consumption.

I wish for Obama the best of health and the earliest retirement that is legally permissible.

Because a doctor knows he is writing the health reccomendations for the president. Not a word he said was casual. Its clear, the president is a drunk.
