Hilarious bit of Orwellian MSM b.s. The headline says “thousands,” yet the article doesn’t back up that claim with any evidence. They quote the Brady “Campaign” which consists of two people and the overwhelming “no” response to their poll is the pro-constitution answer.
Although who would have known if I had a weapon on me or not, it would have been concealed? I decided if this guy was going to be that open about his anti 2nd political views do I need to help him stay in business.
Thanks for the post though. I got a good laugh and a coffee nasal cleaning at the same time.
...” respect the rights of the vast majority of its customers”
I just checked my copy of the Constitution, and I’m confused.
Just which specific ‘right’ were you talking about ?
Where I live (a large city with a lot of crime) a lot of us with CCW permits ignore those signs anyway. Their property rights do not trump my right to defend myself.
Besides, that’s why it’s a CONCEALED weapon.
Uh... someone please inform me as to exactly WHERE California allows open carry, much less concealed carry. This sounds like a straw man argument to me.

Typical libtard logic.
Pass a law, presto magico, we’re safe.
Why not pass laws outlawing rape and murder next?

Not my quote.
I am an avowed CHL holder in Texas and carry extensively, but business owners have the right to mandate who and what they allow in THEIR businesses. To declare otherwise is totalitarianism. If we want to boycott their businesses because of an unreasonable prohibition, that's another issue and a decision they will have to live, or die, with.
That being said, a concealed weapon should be a non-issue - no one knows but the person involved.
That's like promoting cleanliness by banning soap.
Are we to fear a violence from a latte drinker? Let them be armed; and at least ready, for that person of ill will who may walk in; and not know a latte from a ‘frappe’.

Range Rumor
Anyone from the Training Division care to elaborate?
* Heard that the range is going to be about 1.2 million rounds short on ammo this year.
Seems that the city decided that we could do with less.
The academy range put 1.5 million rounds of ammo in the annual budget(same as they have for the past several years).
City Hall decided to cut that down to 300,000 rounds of ammo!
Good luck qualifying in 2010!
300,000 divided by 10,000 sworn = 30 rounds per cop. Sounds like just enough to qualify everyone if we all do it on the first try!
Have they rescinded the 100 free training rounds order? And what are the 86 recruits going to fire for State qualifying? We seem to recall putting about 1,000 rounds through the gun during training - has that fallen by the wayside?

BlockBuster did this about 12 years ago. They lost memberships like crazy and dropped it. I love Starbucks. But, if they do this, I’m done.
Looks like we Freeped the Cafe-Latte’sucking hippie crowd!!
