WASHINGTON – Two heroes of the Fort Hood massacre will be honored guests at Wednesday night's State of the Union speech.

Sgts. Kimberly Munley and Mark Todd – the Fort Hood police officers who stopped the rampage, in a firefight that left Munley badly wounded – will watch the speech from first lady Michelle Obama's box.

Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan has been charged with killing 13 people on Nov. 5 at Fort Hood, in the worst mass murder on a U.S. military installation, before Munley and Todd managed to intercede. Hasan is paralyzed.

Congress and the military continue to investigate the missed warning signs about Hasan, a psychiatrist who had communicated with a radical Yemini-American cleric.

Navy folks here did that when Klinton came to town too. Unfortunately, during the last campaign, a bunch of mil wives jumped the snark, did a schmoozy photo op with MO and spoke at the dim convention. Here’s hoping their husbands are stationed in Adak, AK - but rather doubt it...

No I haven't seen them attend Church and I wonder if that is the source of the tension I pickup between the two of them. If I was married to a usercon who uses religion to justify an end...I would be pretty disappointed myself.

"She is bitter, resentful, pampered and lives in her own little, exclusive world..."

Oh...I thought she wore stupid looking cheep clothes a few months ago...according to the fashion police.

Let's get this straight...I don't care what you want to read into her clothing choices anymore than I cared what people thought about Palin's clothing choices. Clothes can be sold for a residual value like all other assets. It's not like using up large amounts of energy going on plane rides or going on extravagant vacations....which I assume was the "o"'s choice because of the location. If you want to talk about that being wrong...I won't disagree, but the issue here is if her motives are pure for seating the Heroes...she didn't have to do it, she could have picked anyone.

exactly.....you’d think this herd would be smarter than that; they’ve tried to keep it under the rug so far.

Of course I expect Obama to mention them by name...which is fitting. And yes..I would expect that Mrs. Obama does have the say in who will be sitting next to her. They could have been seated elsewhere.

If you believe “she didn’t have to do that”, you are delusional, naive and are doomed to be continually disappointed...good luck to you.../s

My Mother was born in Wiesbaden - beautiful part of Germany I’ve heard.

As for Earthdweller’s comments on here I’m stunned by some people’s naivety (putting it nicely) - I guess that’s how 0 got elected!!

Sgts. Kimberly Munley and Mark Todd will sit with MAJ Hasan's homies, eh?

Don't they realize that Hasan and MObama were probably doing fist-bumps while Hasan was serving on Obama's advisory committee?

Sounds like a really amazing thing to be a part of.

I swear, the daily lunacy in this Country really makes me sick.

Earthdweller = Obamanista

The fact that M'Obama intentionally poisoned the minds of her children with the NASTY RACISM spewing out of Jeremiah Wright throughout their lives is perfectly acceptable to Earthdweller.

She is a Christian. Although she attended a political church....socialism/Communism and religion don't mix well because of the threat to state power.

What kind of drugs are you on? If M'Obama is a Christian, then why doesn't she take her children to a church that is CHRISTIAN? Wright's so-called "church" is nothing but a platform for RACISM and hatred of Jewish people. There is NOTHING REMOTELY CHRISTIAN about it.

Second, socialism/communism mixes perfectly well with islam when it comes down to the destruction of the United States and other free Nations. I cite for example the union of Islam and Nazism when Adolf Hitler recruited the Balkan Muslims into his Waffen SS ranks. The muslims gladly embraced Nazism as both parties sought the murder of Jewish people.

Same deal applies to today's muslims who employ Soviet-style totalitarianism toward anyone who defies them in their societies.

These heros will receive their rewards from God. President Obama, Michelle Obama and any other politician in such a situation will USE these heros as a stage prop.

Heroes with Michelle, wouldn’t it make more sense for Maj. Hasan to be with Michelle as they’re of like minds?

Somehow I don’t think a Ft. Hood reminder will be helpful for Obama.

Yes, I agree.

It will only remind people that Obama has been weak on terrorists.

I am surprised they don't have the terrorist there in his wheelchair to show how much they believe in 'innocent until proven guilty'.

Nice of her to reward them with them honor. She didn't have to. Whatever you think of “O”..I absolutely do not think the first Lady is a hater. She has been good to our troops as well....so lay off.It doesn't become anyone, right or left leaning, to treat our First Lady with disrespect.

Boy, some people are really easy to con!

She has hate oozing out of her.

Does she support “a woman’s right to choose”?
Is she only proud of America because her spouse has the plans and the power to fundamentally change this country?
Sorry, I have no need to respect her occupation in the White House. She just doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies..on the contrary..she appears angry, awkward, and not up to the job.

Wow. Am sure you are right...it’s gotta be so tough for those present at our military locations when Zero shows up....and, hmm, wonder what threats have gone out to those who oppose him???

Gotta be especially tough for our heroes out on the front lines....
