I guess BO thinks that now that he has the CIA spying on the polar ice caps, he doesn’t really need NASA anymore.

This should come as no surprise, there are no
communities to organize in space, no disaffected
voters in space, no race in space.

The only thing Sheila Jackson-Lee is good for...protecting NASA jobs in the Houston area. Maybe she can hit Barry upside the head and remind him that NASA means jobs in mainly ‘Rat strongholds.

But there are in Houston, Florida, Cleveland and DC, and that's where NASA has thousands of jobs.

Barry's too stupid to see even that from a political point of view. But Sheila Jackson-Lee will pound him over it; her district encompasses a big chunk of Houston, including JSC.

His kind eat the seed corn. All they want to fund are welfare programs which are up in smoke and down the rat hole or toilet. No long term planning. No long term. Live for today because tomorrow we will died (literally).

RATS have always eaten the seed corn...and everything edible in their path.

If they can't eat it, they either chew it up or defecate on it.

They reproduce uncontrolled until the environment can't support them anymore.

Then they die off leaving nothing but smelly diseased destruction.

Oh yes...rats do the same thing.

And why does this article says “smaller than expected”, instead of calling it a CUT, like they always did with Bush? Hypocrites.

I do not think we can afford space exploration for anything other that military purposes any more.

The Obama administration is not good news from the point of view of anyone enthusiastic about America!

I disagree.. NASA budget is less 1% of our budget.. We need to focus cutting the social programs..

Another way to go would be ot privatize space exploration. Dan Brown (DaVinci Code author) suggests that in his book Deception Point (although he paints it as an evil idea). If controlled it may work, like allowing timber companies and oil companies to harvest and drill on federal land - just keep an eye on them - win win).

Let’s see... when Bush proposed to put slightly less than the expected increase in the Medicare budget, he was “destroying Medicare and turning his back on America’s seniors”. So it only seems fair that...

Respectfully, that's BS. FY 2010 budget for food stamps is $64 billion, but NASA is only going to get $17 billion.
