New York Post ^ | 1/7/10

DC clairvoyants say Rahm Emanuel will leave as President Obama's chief-of-staff in the not-too-distant future. Though once a congressman himself, Emanuel is said to be frustrated with lawmakers who won't bend to his will.

SNIP

Obama's fiercely loyal adviser Valerie Jarrett is said to be the frontrunner to take his place.

Yes, it’s possible that it’s self-preservation that is motivating Rahm Emmanuel’s (possible) departure.

Valerie Jarrett may be a disaster, but then, so is everybody on Barry’s team. She could still do a lot of damage. And I do think that the Muslim aspect is one about which we should be concerned. That will mean that at least two people (Obama and Jarrett) at the top are on the side of our enemies. She’s a very outspoken pro-Muslim activist.

Your analysis is as good as I’ve read, worthy of Rush Limbaugh. Definitely spot on, accurate in every word, IMHO.

Thank you, but I did borrow and expand on the comments I heard on Scarborough. Rahm is no fool and he is not going to be part of the Obama/Pelosi/Reid death wish. If and when Rahm jumps ship, he will take a whole lot of disillusioned Dems (inc. the DBM) with him. It will be the first signal that Obama will be a one term President.

The WH is definitely desperate. The Treasury is in drastic situation unless the WH can get a great BIG tax hike passed, using “health care” as the excuse....

It's an interesting rumor.

Mr. Emanuel would be certainly be a surprising one to leave at such an early point --- and it is quite a coincidence that so many Democrat incumbents have decided not to run for re-election.

Usually the scandals occur in the second term, but it looks like with this administration it may occur in the first
and only.

I agree with all your points here except the muslim bent on Jarrett -not true-Jarrett was born in Iran while her father was a doctor in a hospital over there & i forget what her mother was doing exactly atthat time but being born in Iran doesn’t make one muslim.

Val Jarrett is a commie, but she’s a also a commie/socialist that likes the almighty dollar .You would have to research for yourself to see her exact connections and some of that can be traced back to Frank Marshall Davis & the young high school Barack Obama.

you can also see Jarrett @ http://www.muckety.com
just punch in her name & you’ll see ALL the Chicago politics nobody wants to talk about
& that’s probablywhy Rahm Emanuel wants an early out from the Obama Admin

Frankly, I don’t fear Jarrett as much as Rahm.

She is a Progressive Princess. I have known several of her sort. She has made her mark by being born to the right parents and going to the right schools in the right place at the right time. I have not known one of these types who could stick it for the long haul. They tend to get/take things quite personally and, as a last resort, throw tantrums/become catty/order someone at the wrong time to do something that will be just over the line. And they will refuse. I would also love to know what Penny Pritzker and Val really think of each other.

Rahm is a street fighter. We make fun of his ballet training, but I have known athletes and martial artists who took ballet to improve their balance and timing.

Both are mainly out for themselves. zerO may be their *friend*, but the loyalties are not as the media would want us to think. They are both Main Chancers. And, with zerO, I doubt there is any loyalty from him to anyone else at all.

Oh, I agree, she’s definitely a communist (and they are all in it for whatever they can get out of it personally!). But while being born in Iran doesn’t make her a Muslim, you’ll find that she’s on the board of virtually every pro-Muslim organization there is and was recently appointed to be one of three people on some important WH “outreach” to Muslims.

Also, I did read some place that she herself is not merely sympathetic to Muslims, but is a Muslim. I believe it was an interviewer, either during the campaign or shortly after Bambi’s election, who asked her “as a Muslim woman” what she thought about some issue. I couldn’t swear to it, though. When I raised this point the other day, the consense seemed to be that she is very shadowy about that aspect and nobody knows whether she is a Muslim or not.

Leftism and Islam seem to be perfect together, so it wouldn’t surprise me. That said, I think she’s dangerous no matter what she is. She’s probably smarter than Obama, for one thing.

Like the Clintons, RE knows the liberals are slaves on the plantation. You can treat them like dirt, but in the end, they’ll do what they’re told and will never bolt. Therefore, you always have to court the moderates. By kowtowing to the liberals, Obama, Pelosi and Reid are leading Democrats into a wilderness from which it may take a generation.

Hillary now has her foreign policy experience, so I expect her to step down sometime next year as well as Rahm and they will plot the path to taking the party back from the far left. Depending on how things go, I predict that Hillary will challenge O in 2012 - and beat him soundly.
